leTTer FrOm DIrecTOr South Shelby Chamber of Commerce business leaders take the lead after devastating storms strike Alabama. It is amazing to see how the business and community leaders in our area volunteer their time, money and resources to help others in need after the many tragically hit areas in our great state. Stacy Walkup We have seen so many of our Executive Director members take action and contribute to the cause to helping others in need! At the chamber office we took great pride in helping organize volunteers, donations and communications for relief efforts. Our community as a region and state are one when it comes to our overall needs and well being and it is important to help our friends and neighbors just as we would want to be helped.

Welcome to the town of Wilsonville. Located just 35 miles south of Birmingham and 15 minutes from Highway 280 makes it easy to locate. Wilsonville was incorporated in 1879. In the earlier times, the railroad was of great importance; Wilsonville bustled with people and trade. It is now home to more than 1,500 residents with retail businesses and a couple of small manufacturers added in. Wilsonville exhibits a true “hometown” feel with a mixture of young growing families, established families, and retirees. Wilsonville is known for having friendly southern hospitality, close family ties, active organizations, and a religious background. We have a wonderful area for sports and other forms of recreation all year round. Grab your pole and enjoy fishing and easy living along the banks of the Coosa River. Wilsonville is definitely a “Great place to call Home”. We would enjoy having you come and visit us. Call us at 205-669-6180 or visit us online at www.wilsonvilleal.com.
