Following a comprehensive SWOT analysis of the services offered and organizational structure, it was clear a pivot was needed to deliver maximum value to clients and the business. Rather than fix a broken model, Luke made the bold recommendation to the ELT to “sunset” the division and refocus investments in high demand services where Acosta Group had the right to win – digital commerce, revenue growth management and category leadership.
Having built a culture of trust and transparency among his team, Luke’s empathetic approach to the change enabled the associates to recognize the change would create new opportunities for growth and career development.
As a result, many of the impacted associates elected to stay with the company and were energized by the opportunity to develop new capabilities and build the next chapter for Acosta Group.
