We cannot imagine doing anything else.

We believe ours is a service-driven profession in which we play an interpretive role, listening to our client’s needs, hopes, and dreams to be inspired by them. Along with a selected builder (General Contractor) we translate, as design partners, our clients’ words to meet their architectural objectives.

You’ll find the people here very empathetic. We have a practiced ability to put ourselves in the shoes of those we design for as well as those who construct our designs. This also makes us uniquely effective advocates for our clients’ objectives. After all it’s their building, not ours.

Shelden Architecture is a full service architectural firm providing services ranging from Pre-Design through Construction. Since 2002 we have designed distinctive buildings for scores of clients from the fields of business, health care, financial, retail, education, religion, housing, and more.

From our beginning more than 80% of our projects have been produced using a “Selected Team” (or Design/Build) approach. Not only do we have extensive experience with this approach, but we are convinced that this will produce the very best ideas and solutions with a complete understanding of the cost and time involved with each option. This approach gives you, the owner, real confidence to make decisions as the design and construction team come together: knowing that aesthetically, functionally, and financially your goals are being met.

Communication is critical to a well-managed project. Stan Shelden is heavily involved as a project is being defined and multiple concepts are vetted. The Project Manager is the day to day contact available to work with you or your committee at all times during our engagement and beyond. We work closely with team members as we refine the project time line, and define the specific requirements that best utilize your space.

We can generate a plethora of design possibilities by holding design charrettes. After reviewing and defining the project’s best options with your staff & team members, the architectural, engineering and construction team establish budget options and any necessary imagery and documents to support your efforts. We’ve done it for hundreds of clients and we will do it for you.
