Bali is an island of Indonesia, it’s a popular tourist destination which has seen a significant rise in tourists since the 1980s. It is renowned for its highly developed arts, including traditional and modern dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking, and music. The following photograph are my recap for travelling to Bali during New Year.

We get to the Bali with a ferry boat, it takes about 30-minute from Banyuwangi to Gilimanuk.

LOCAL DELICACIES Ayam Betutu is one of roasted chicken or duck. This highly seasoned and spiced dish is a popular dish in Bali and Lombok. An even spicier version is available using extra-spicy sauce made from uncooked (raw) onion slices mixed with red chili peppers and coconut oil. This traditional dish is very popular nowadays, this dish is also popular among tourists who travel to Bali.

SANUR A seaside town in the southeast of the island of Bali. Sanur is Bali’s oldest upscale resort area and is a mature beach-side town. Despite the abundance of restaurants and accommodation, it has a quiet and relaxed feel to it. In general terms, it is more expensive than Kuta but cheaper than Seminyak. Sanur tends to appeal most to middle-aged and older families, especially Europeans.

BARONG DANCE In traditional Barong dance performances, he is portrayed in his struggles against Rangda, it is the popular part of Balinese culture. The mythical creature would dance along the street to the calon arang dance. A priest would throw holy water at it.

KINTAMANI Kintamani is a village on the western edge of the larger caldera wall of Gunung Batur in Bali, Indonesia. It is on the same north-south road as Penelokan and has been used as a stopping place to view the Gunung Batur region. Kintamani is also known for Pura Tuluk Biyu’s 1,000-year-old “Rites of Peace” stone tablets and the Kintamani dog.

PURA TIRTA EMPUL Tirta Empul temple is a Hindu Balinese water temple located near the town of Tampaksiring, Bali, Indonesia. The temple compound consists of a petirtaan or bathing structure, famous for its holy spring water, where Balinese Hindus go to for ritual purification. The temple pond has a spring which gives out fresh water regularly, which Balinese Hindus consider to be holy or amritha. Tirta Empul means Holy Spring in Balinese.

PANTAI PANDAWA Pantai Pandawa or Pandawa Beach is one of the located in South Kuta. This beach is located behind the hills and often called as a “secret beach”. There are two large cliffs on the side of the road and on the inside there was a statue of Dewi Kunti and 5 Pandawas.

GARUDA WISNU KENCANA (GWK) Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park is a 60 ha area of cultural park located in Ungasan, Badung Regency or about 10-15 minutes driving from Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport. With a future plan of 120-meter tall and 64-meter width statue of Garuda Wisnu as its main attraction, GWK Cultural Park boasts one of the largest artistic masterpiece and most astonishing works of arts ever created in Indonesia’s art history, which reflects the strong values of one of Indonesia’s inherited local cultures.

KUTA The beach has been notable since early 1970s. Kuta beach is also known as Sunset Beach, as opposed to the Sunrise Beach, another name for Sanur Beach. A former fishing village, it was one of the first towns on Bali to see substantial tourist development, and as a beach resort remains one of Indonesia’s ma jor tourist destinations. It is known internationally for its long sandy beach, varied accommodation, many restaurants and bars, and many renowned surfers who visit from Australia.

TANAH LOT Tanah Lot is a rock formation off the Indonesian island of Bali. It is home to the pilgrimage temple Pura Tanah Lot (literally “Tanah Lot temple”), a popular tourist and cultural icon for photography and general exoticism. Tanah Lot means “Land in The Sea” in the Balinese language. Located in Tabanan, about 20 kilometres (12 mi) from Denpasar, the temple sits on a large offshore rock which has been shaped continuously over the years by the ocean tide. Tanah Lot is claimed to be the work of the 16thcentury Dang Hyang Nirartha.
