Helen Irving

The love of architecture and all things contemporary kitsch, stemmed from my upbringing in an architecturally acclaimed 1960s satellite town just north of Newcastle upon Tyne. The planning and particular the brutalist architecture of the area has played a huge part in my design fascination and formative tastes. I am particularly enthused by urbanism and the role in which architecture plays within this field, along with social and sustainable design. Ultimately, design be it photography to product design, should demonstrate strong ethics, imagination and sense of mischief.
