The main idea of this model is about the relationship between a father and a son. Their relationship is like shattered space at first, but the father repairs their relationship. It is like this model that uses wood sticks to connect each broken space together.

The shape of these two buildings as the Digital Factory is the result of carving out and tracing people’s pathways through this vast urban site, 300ft. This cuts create a plaza and connect to West Oakland’s Muni station, Bart station, skill training school and residential area.

The facade is not just a wall to architects. It is the divide between inside space and outside space, and it can be another space to architects. For example, the double skin system is created for sustainable design and the space between two facades can be used for other functions such as a green space, cafe area or circulation.
