CORPORATE EVENTS The Shepherd Neame Brewery in the heart of historic Faversham makes an ideal venue for a corporate event, whether it is a seminar, meeting, product launch, private lunch or dinner. The brewery is conveniently located a little over an hour from London (St Pancras or Victoria) by train; just off the M2 motorway and within easy reach of the ancient city of Canterbury. If your event involves an overnight stay, we can book accommodation for your delegates or guests at one of our delightful inns, hotels or pubs with rooms.

CONFERENCES & SEMINARS Organisers of conferences, seminars and team-building days can create original events in charming surroundings using the latest technology. Our Visitor Centre includes an attractive 15th century function room seating up to 60 delegates, while the ante-room and small meeting room provide additional space for breakout groups. For larger conferences, the spacious Old Brewery Store has an ambience all of its own and can be set up in a variety of configurations to meet your needs. Originally the brewery’s wines and spirits store, the venue is now home to a collection of vintage delivery vehicles, historic pub signs and also boasts a modular stage and theatrical lighting. Both venues offer a full range of public address and presentation equipment including lecterns, projectors, large screens, flipcharts and DVD players. There is also the option to incorporate activities and team-building exercises: enjoy a tour of the brewery and/or a tutored tasting session and test your palate with our beer-tasting challenge. Both venues offer full catering facilities and we pride ourselves on superb food and service. Each venue also has its own contemporary private bar serving Shepherd Neame’s range of award winning ales and speciality lagers, along with a carefully selected range of wines.

BREWERY TOURS Shepherd Neame is Britain’s Oldest Brewer and was, for many years, thought to date from 1698. However, recently-discovered evidence reveals a brewery on the site in 1573 and possibly as early as 1505. Today, the brewery produces around 1.2 million pints of beer a week and owns around 330 pubs throughout the South East of England. A Brewery Tour can be included in the day’s itinerary so your delegates can see behind the scenes and discover how beer is brewed as well as learning a little of Shepherd Neame’s rich history. Tours usually culminate with a fascinating tutored tasting with one of our expert guides.

COMMITTED TO SUSTAINABILITY Brewing is a particularly sustainable industry with the vast majority of by-products being reused or recycled long before the modern focus on green issues. The Visitor Centre uses local ingredients and suppliers across the whole range of its activities. Information on local sourcing, recycling and sustainability is at the heart of the Brewery Tour and the Visitor Centre is one of just three tourist attractions in Kent which has achieved Gold in the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
