WELCOME
It gives me great pleasure to introduce our music diary for the Lent Term 2023. Music has a very special place at Sherborne Girls, and we actively embrace music in all its forms. We have a packed and broad programme of events this term; the majority of which are open to a wide audience. Our musicians will be taking part in masterclasses, competitions and a variety of concerts and recitals in our fabulous Gransden Hall and further afield.
We look forward to welcoming you into the music department at Sherborne Girls.

“The most significant jazz musician this country has produced for many years, perhaps ever ” .
Peter HeppleThe Harriet Tory Masterclass Trust was established in 2008 in memory of Harriet Tory (Aylmar ’86), who was tragically killed in an accident in 2005. A memorial fund was set up in her name, which has been used to support the establishment of an annual masterclass and concert at school. Given Harriet’s life-long love of music and the personal support she gave to many friends to help them pursue their musical passions, we believe this is a fitting tribute to her very full and selfless life.
