he Timber Windows range provides a wide range of choices to help you achieve the perfect windows and doors for your home.
For many customers, colour is critical with natural timber finishes, subtle shades of cream, green, blue and grey, as well as elegant black, the Timber Windows colour palette can help to highlight or to blend in. Multiple colours are also possible, with the option to finish the insides of your windows and doors differently from the outsides. We can also offer colours complementary to leading quality paint brands, to coordinate with your interior colour scheme.
Our collection of Entrance Doors comprises fifty-four styles derived from designs and configurations found in homes of character across the country. Most are available as a Townhouse door without an external handle, and as stable doors.
A selection of decorative glass options, based on authentic Victorian stained glass motifs, has been especially commissioned for the range. These may be selected from a variety of colour palettes to complement the door finish.
With a wide range of ironmongery styles and finishes, including our exclusive Samuel Heath range, you can choose the finishing touches that make all the difference.
For entrance doors this also includes spy holes, letter-plates, handles and knockers.

Our energy saving double glazing features high-performance glass with gas filled sealed units, and warm edge spacer bars, for ultimate comfort whether it is warm or cold outside, and exceptional noise reduction.
FUNGAL & INSECT
For a period of 30 years from the date of delivery, Timber Windows warrants that the goods will be free of rot or fungal infection under normal conditions, and that every reasonable effort has been made to ensure the use of good quality materials, and where care and maintenance has been carried out satisfactorily.
WORKMANSHIP
For a period of 10 years from the date of delivery, Timber Windows warrants that goods supplied will be free from defects as a result of manufacturing processes when used under normal conditions, and where care and maintenance has been carried out satisfactorily.
SEALED UNIT
For a period of 10 years from the date of delivery, Timber Windows warrants that double glazed sealed cavity units, supplied factory fitted shall be fit for purpose for which goods of the type are normally used under normal conditions, and that every effort has been made to ensure the use of good quality materials, and where care and maintenance has been carried out satisfactorily.5 years for 14mm double glazed units.
An 18mm double glazed unit with a krypton gas filled cavity, in an Annealed 4/10/4 Low E formation has a typical centre pane U-value of 1.0W/m2k.
A 24mm double glazed unit with an argon gas filled cavity, in an Annealed 4/16/4 Low E formation has a typical centre pane U-value of 1.1W/m2k.
GLAZING OPTIONS
Our range carries a number of glazing options to suit everyone’s requirements from a conservation and a lifestyle stand point in terms of specification, giving the required aesthetics while regulating heat effectively and vastly improving sound insulation.
The 4mm single glazed pane and the ultra slim double glazed 14mm unit filled with krypton gas are hand finished with a traditional style putty and are available with a 22mm wide glazing bar, all features designed for the most stringent planning areas.
Our high performance 24mm or 18mm double glazed units, filled with argon gas and krypton gas respectively have the option of either an 18mm or 27mm wide glazing bar, ideal where regulatory restrictions are less rigorous.
HARDWARE
For a period of 10 years from the date of delivery, Timber Windows warrants that all hardware that is supplied factory fitted shall be fit for purpose for which goods of the type are normally used under normal conditions, and that every reasonable effort has been made to ensure the use of good quality materials, and where care and maintenance has been carried out satisfactorily. Certain types of ironmongery carry differing levels of guarantee depending on their finish and the manufacturer.
PAINT & STAIN
For the decorative finish on products supplied factory finished, Timber Windows warranty shall be 12 years for paint finished items and up to 6 years for stain finished items from the date of delivery, in normal use and moderate weather conditions, and where care and maintenance has been carried out satisfactorily.

PAINT COLOURS &Finishes
White painted windows look traditional and smart but are not the only option available to homeowners when considering new fenestration indeed, householders may be surprised to learn that only 40% of the windows we sell are white. Our products are available in hundreds of different shades from vibrant hues to subtle creams and greys. Multiple colours can also be combined on one item, enabling you to finish the internal frame to match your room decor. We strongly recommend inspecting samples first hand as a brochure can only provide an indicative guide. Colour swatches and samples are available from your local showroom take a swatch away with you and offer it up to your property to ensure a good match.

Microporous coatings are an innovative solution used across our products, providing a flawless finish along with ultimate protection. Microporous coatings allow wood to breathe; essential for keeping windows and doors in top condition, as they permit the passing through of moisture vapour, thus an equilibrium of moisture content is maintained through the seasons, preventing decay and ultimately prolonging the life of the timber and the product.
All our products receive the same, thorough, advanced four-layer treatment beginning with a wood preservative, followed by a primer and finally two top coats to achieve that perfect finish.

DECORATIVE GLAZING Options
A selection of glazing options based on authentic Victorian stained glass motifs has been uniquely commissioned for our range. These may be selected in a variety of colour finishes to complement your timber front door, or add character to the fanlights of your timber windows. Our standard range is manufactured as double glazed units with UV resistant coloured polyester films applied to the outer pane.

Time honoured stained glass manufacturing techniques are used to create our signature range of traditional glasses. Hand lead is used to join together individual panes of coloured and textured glass. This handmade pane is then 'sandwiched' within a double glazed unit creating, in effect, triple glazing. The result is quite stunning with the depth, colour and texture of the traditional glasses providing a unique visual aesthetic.

Our stained glass designer, Alan Baker, first established his stained glass studio in Oxford in 1987.
He has since undertaken a variety of work in stained glass for architects, church authorities, civic buildings and also private commissions, creating original designs and reproducing traditional designs. His work also includes lecturing on the history of stained glass for the University of Oxford.

Barron Glass was founded with the vision of preserving and conserving period architectural style, using decorative glass, to ensure that much loved, authentic designs could still be created in the modern age.
Since 1988, an exciting range of Victorian and Edwardian glass designs have been revived and brought back to the fore, with many of the innovative product manufacture methods being unique and patented to Barron Glass, and designs copyrighted; all beautifully hand-crafted in the Cotswolds.
Today, Barron Glass creates its beautiful designs honouring the traditional methods of over two centuries of craftsmanship, in this highly skilled, updated form of screen printing using traditional glass enamel and pure silver stain, allowing large sheets to be produced with a great degree of consistency.

The Timber Windows range of sash windows is amongst the most comprehensive available in the UK and enables sensitive replacement of sash windows in a wide variety of applications.
BOX SASH SIZE
Our Sash Box is available in two depths - standard at 176mm and slim sash at 142mm. The Slim Sash, at 142mm is the slimmest traditional sash window available in the UK allowing the window to finish flush with the original plaster lines without projecting into the room in most instances. The Slim Sash carries narrower double glazed unitsmaintaining the same level of insulation by using high performance krypton gas between the glasses. Samples of both our standard and slim sashes are available to view in most Timber Windows showrooms.
SASH SYSTEM
WEIGHTS & CHAINS
Our most popular sash window is hung on smooth running chains which is available in brass, chrome or stainless steel. Our chains not only provide a very pleasing gliding action in use but also make for an interesting design feature.
WEIGHTS & CORDS
For the purist we also offerthe option of hanging our sash on traditional sash cords, which are pre-stretched to accommodate the weight of double glazed units.

THE HIGHEST SECURITY LOCKING CYLINDERS AVAILABLE
For the highest level of security and protection, our doors can come equipped with KABA locking cylinders. These Kitemarked, 3 star locking cylinders possess the highest level of security available, having undergone rigorous testing to provide counter measures to all common forms of potential attack on an entrance door.
The cylinders feature several layers of protection to prevent drilling, picking, bumping and extraction. In particular, it also carries a sacrificial break slot, which, in the event of the cylinder being snapped, the secure core of the lock is retained within the door, inhibiting forced override of the cylinder.
Additionally, these KABA cylinders have further innovative features, including patent protected keys blanks preventing illegal copying. The cylinders also include a failsafe clutch mechanism allowing the lock to still be operated by the thumb turn from the inside in any event, ensuring that the occupant does not become trapped in the property, if, for example the lock has suffered an attack from the outside.
KABA locking cylinders are required for PAS24 compliance.
