SEASON WRAP From The Youth League 2 Women's Coach The significance of this semi-final game is not lost on both teams. For the victor it’s an immediate spot in the Grand Final series and for the loser it’s season over and they walk away dreaming of what could have been. For the Suns, we are determined to get the win. We have trained and worked too hard to let this game slip through our fingers. We are fully aware of Chelsea’s strengths and in the season matchup we are one win a piece, so this game is going to be an intense battle. Chelsea are tough competitors with a disciplined offense, aggressive defence and a group of experienced battle hardened players. However, we believe we have their measure. Over the last few months we have scouted their system and honed the power and precision of our offense and defensive accordingly. We are confident that our defence will make the difference. In fact we achieved our season defensive objective of finishing as the best defensive team in the division with the lowest number of points scored against us. So in summary, both teams and coaches are feeling the pressure. The team that gets across the line is the team who wants it the most. For us it’s a momentous opportunity, not only to be the first Suns womens team to gain a grand final appearance but also the opportunity to do justice to our outstanding 2019 season results of 18 wins from 20 games and to prove to the division that we deserve to be division champions.
