The Mini House built by Atelier Bow Wow, is located in Tokyo, Japan on a small area of 77 square meters. The architects made use of this small space by designing a 41 square meter building that takes up 90 square meters through its two and a half floors. Built in 1998, this home is articulated to push maximum functionality for every space. The architects did so by designing the building core with a rectangular form and specifically placing protrusions on every face of the building aside from the main entry. The term Mini House- is coined by the Mini skirt that is created by the protrusion on the East phase aside from internally creating a much larger public space on the main floor, it also acts as a covered car port.

MAXIMUM LIMIT Through this assigment I learned how to properly create a curved surface using rhino. I had a general understanding of some of the commands used for this assignement, however the application used in this situation allowed me to find a deeper understanding on how these commands may actually be applied in Architecture. I believe this assignment brought me to a better understanding of how to digitally present information, aswell as serving as basis on how to approach creating a digital surface from real life. This will carry forward as I attempt to map out a site in the future and most importantly begin analyzing the geographic aspect of an area. BASE SURFACE

N O C O U N T RY F O R O L D M E N Film by Joel & Ethan Coen 2007
THE CHASE
The story develops honing in on three visual elements, linear space, open space, and bonded space. Presented by the three main characters of the film who embody extremely different energies while finding themselves constantly in the same disconnection between the predicament of contrast with their environment & the intrusion of demands on their precarious equilibrium. Lowley, crouches at the apex of an open space where he finds a case full of two million dollars, quickly he takes it to a hotel. Anton, a murderer hired to retrieve the money follows him to the hotel and down its corridor. Sherriff Tom Bell pursues them both. Lowley pushes the case of money through the ventilation shaft, but his wife and innocent by standers are still murdered. The Sherriff is helpless to save them.

SPATIAL N A R R ITIV E
An Exploration of: Linear Space | Open Space | Bonded Space Inspired by the Coehn Brother’s film No Country for Old Men (2007), specifically the drama of the chase in areas through out West Texas and New Mexico. The organized spatial realations such as: hiding places, linear spaces, and bounded spaces that connect sub areas. An Isolated structure in the White Sand Dunes, of New Mexico was conceived. The ideas were carried forward in the complex form of this private gathering space, asof the roof it has symmetrical & unique elements that reinforce zones of activity below, while also introducing light to unify the spaces of the building. 1

Proposal for a laminated Structure pulled apart to create urban spaces that simutaniously support social, biophysical, and technical processes whilepromoting new forms of circulation to link this builing to its urban context. Understanding the history of the city by laminatingand pulling paces apart for urban angagement: appreciation for the potential of the site as rarity of open space in the city and envisioning the future of the area and societies relationship with a library as a network of knowledge. Thus creating a more productive relationship between the consumption of material good and knowledge in the area
Using the relationship of the core as a network of infrormation using the human anatomy as the library sturcture that houses many spines at a macro level performing to the city as symbol of the origins of Denver, and its deriving from the Lower Downton Historic Distric.
Parti Laminant proportion of spine
Form Articulated proportions into inahbitable networking medium.
Mass Connection of body to mind. Grouping of vital elements of structural system in three masses promoting circulation.
