CONCEPT The concept for the 5 by 5 by 5 house was derived from my personality and hobbies. My hobbies are cooking and crafting, and I realized the commonality between them is that they are made up of different components which are put together to form the final product. As for personality, I think I am a very serious person and I like to have control. To have control is being able to oversee people and taking charge. Hence, the final product was to have cubes (components) coming together by interlocking and layering to form the interesting architecture. In order to access all the spaces in the house, a spiral staircase is put into place where I am able to see the entire house from wherever I am standing. The house consists of the Living room, Kitchen, Walk-in-Wardrobe, Bedroom, Washroom, Storage Space, Craft Room/Office, a Mini Library and lastly, a Roof Top Garden. Sherry Goh |
