The Community Of Grand River
About Grand River
Grand River is a warm and inviting community. Home of many native Scotish people, but has attracted Europeans, Central Canadians, and Americans. Some to live full time, some to visit and build cottages. The Major employer in Grand River is Fishing. Lobster and Crab are in abundance. The local fisherman fish from L’Archeveque, where the wharf and fishing shacks create a hum of activity from May to August of each year. Looking across at the Presbyterian Church, and the apartments.
Riverside Estates is a portion of the former Meyer Farm. You can see her old farm house on the right hand side of the picture above. (The telephone pole in front is visited each day by an eagle, fishing in the river.) To access the lots, turn right at the church. Just a few hundred meters to Kate’s Lane Enjoy a Ceilidh at the hall, or a lobster boil on the beach. Live in Grand River is like going back in time. People still drop in to visit and have tea with biscuits or oat cakes. You will hear the odd Gaelic word and begin to wonder if you are in Europe or Canada. There is no stress, but lots of good times, and friendly people. If you are interested in an easier lifestyle, and tranquility come look at these properties offered. You will never look back.
