Searching for Sugar Man (12A) Another Day, Another Time (12A) In conjunction with Shetland Folk Festival. Searching for Sugar Man tells the incredible true story of Rodriguez, the greatest ‘70s rock icon who never was. Discovered in a Detroit bar in the late ‘60s by two celebrated producers struck by his soulful melodies and prophetic lyrics, they recorded an album which they believed would secure his reputation as the greatest recording artist of his generation. In fact, the album bombed and the singer disappeared into obscurity amid rumors of a gruesome on-stage suicide. But a bootleg recording found its way into apartheid South Africa and, over the next two decades, he became a phenomenon.
In conjunction with Shetland Folk Festival. A concert inspired by the movie Inside Llewyn Davis. Featuring live performances of the film’s music, as well as songs from the early 1960s by some of folk’s greatest musicians (Avett Brothers, Joan Baez, Dave Rawlings Machine, Rhiannon Giddens, Lake Street Dive, Colin Meloy, The Milk Carton Kids, Marcus Mumford, Punch Brothers, Patti Smith, Willie Watson, Gillian Welch, and Jack White) and Inside Llewyn Davis star Oscar Isaac. Includes interviews with the musicians and behind the scenes footage while they’re rehearsing for the concert.

The Forest (15)
Pride & Prejudice & Zombies (15)
You’ll be perfectly safe – as long as you don’t leave the path. Natalie Dormer stars in The Forest, a whiteknuckle horror set in one of Japan’s most haunted spots. When Sara’s identical twin Jess goes missing in Japan, she flies out to track her down. Despite the danger, she plunges into ‘The Forest’, determined to find her sister.
Jane’s Austen’s classic tale of romance and social relationships, given a zombie twist. 19th-century England is overrun by a horde of zombies, so every woman worth her mettle has learned how best to take out any unmentionables that come their way. Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet (Lily James) is a master of martial arts and weaponry and the handsome Mr. Darcy (Sam Reilly) is a fierce zombie killer, yet the epitome of upper class prejudice. As the zombie outbreak intensifies, they must swallow their pride and join forces on the blood-soaked battlefield.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 (12A) 10 Cloverfield Lane (12A) The long-awaited sequel to the original. Years after Toula and Ian’s big fat wedding, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 brings a new problem: Toula’s parents were never legally married. It’s time for another wedding! It’s going to be even bigger, fatter and Greeker than the last one. And while wedding chaos engulfs everyone’s lives, Toula and Ian need to somehow find time for themselves – and prepare for their daughter abandoning them to go to college.
After a car accident, Michelle wakes up to find herself locked in an underground bunker at ‘10 Cloverfield Lane’. Howard, who lives there, tells her he saved her life. Howard is a survivalist, and has also taken in a young man called Nate. According to him, it’s not safe to leave the bunker because something terrible has apparently happened outside. But can he be trusted? Michelle isn’t so sure. Labeled as a “blood relative” to 2008’s Cloverfield.
Midnight Special (12A)
Eye in the Sky (15)
Roy (Michael Shannon) is a father desperate to protect his uniquely gifted, eight-year-old son. Joined by his accomplice, Lucas (Joel Edgerton), and his ex-wife, Sarah (Kirsten Dunst), this group must race to get Alton to a secret location all while being hunted by an extreme religious sect and a government task force headed up by Paul Sevier (Adam Driver). A full-on chase ensues, the outcome of which could bring about world-changing events.
Colonel Powell (Helen Mirren) leads a secret drone mission to capture a terrorist group living in a safehouse in Nairobi, Kenya. When she learns that the group plans to carry out a suicide attack, the capture plan becomes a kill scenario, creating a tug of war between the aggressive Colonel and nervous government officials, with a British General (Alan Rickman, in his last onscreen performance) mediating the evolving conversation.
Marguerite (15)
Time Out of Mind (15)
Inspired by the real-life tale of Florence Foster Jenkins. 1921: not far from Paris, a party is being held at Marguerite Dumont’s mansion. Nobody knows much about the mysterious Marguerite except that she has devoted her whole life to her passion: music. As she takes centre stage, she sings enthusiastically – but terribly out of tune. When a provocative young journalist decides to write a rave review, she starts to believe even further in her own talent. Who will finally reveal the truth to her, and how will she react?
Richard Gere as George, a homeless, mentally-ill man who has been unable to hold a job for years. He drifts through the city looking for food, alcohol, and shelter. He also tries to make contact with his estranged daughter (Jena Malone). Eventually George takes advantage of some of the social services provided by the city of New York, but he lacks the proper paperwork to get the financial assistance he needs.

Batman v Superman (12A) Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before. Directed by Zack Snyder, starring Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck.
London has Fallen (15) The sequel to the worldwide smash hit “Olympus Has Fallen.” The story begins in London, where the British Prime Minister has passed away under mysterious circumstances. His funeral is a must-attend event for leaders of the western world. However, what starts out as the most protected event on Earth turns into a deadly plot to kill the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate every known landmark in the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. Only three people have any hope of stopping it: the President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart), his formidable Secret Service head (Gerard Butler), and an English MI-6 agent who rightly trusts no one.
Captain America: Civil War (TBC) Political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability when the actions of the Avengers lead to collateral damage. The new status quo deeply divides members of the team. Captain America (Chris Evans) believes superheroes should remain free to defend humanity without government interference. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) sharply disagrees and supports oversight. As the debate escalates into an all-out feud, Black Widow and Hawkeye, amongst others, must pick a side.
Hardcore Henry (TBC) Strap in for of the most unflinchingly original wild-rides to hit the big screen in a long time: You remember nothing. Mainly because you’ve just been brought back from the dead by your wife (Haley Bennett). She tells you that your name is Henry. Five minutes later, you are being shot at, your wife has been kidnapped, and you should probably go get her back. Who’s got her? His name’s Akan (Danila Kozlovsky); he’s a powerful warlord with an army of mercenaries, and a plan for world domination. You’re also in an unfamiliar city of Moscow, and everyone wants you dead. Everyone except for a mysterious British fellow called Jimmy (Sharlto Copley.) He may be on your side, but you aren’t sure. If you can survive the insanity, and solve the mystery, you might just discover your purpose and the truth behind your identity. Good luck, Henry. You’re likely going to need it...
High-Rise (12A)
13
Robert Laing (Tom Hiddleston) has recently moved into the ‘High-Rise’, a tower block designed to be a selfcontained community. But for its isolated inhabitants, life quickly begins to spiral out of control. Swimming pools, supermarkets, even a school: the high-rise has everything. But when the lower floors start having power failures, the people living there begin to resent the upper floors. And soon, the stage is set for a full-scale class war.

A breathtaking new version of the much-loved tale of orphan boy Mowgli (Neel Sethi), who’s raised by jungle animals. ‘Iron Man’ director Jon Favreau uses a blend of live human action and cutting-edge CGI beasts to bring the story to life. Also starring Idris Elba, Ben Kingsley, Christopher Walken and Bill Murray
Zootropolis (PG) The makers of Frozen transport you to the delightful city of Zootropolis, populated entirely by mammals. Into this dazzling environment comes wide-eyed bunny Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) who has arrived from the country to enlist in the police force. Given her apparently docile nature, Judy is placed on menial duties - but she soon delves into the mysterious case of a missing otter. In order to find out more, she must team up with wily con artist and fox Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman). It’s time for aspiring detective Judy to stand out from the animal crowd and demonstrate some genuine underdog spirit.
Eddie the Eagle (PG) Inspired by true events, a feel-good story about Michael “Eddie” Edwards (Taron Egerton), an unlikely but courageous British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself - even as an entire nation was counting him out. With the help of a rebellious and charismatic coach (Hugh Jackman), Eddie takes on the establishment and wins the hearts of sports fans around the world by making an improbable and historic showing at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.
The Huntsman: Winter’s War (TBC) Travel back to this faraway land with us for ‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’, and see Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron go to war. Who is the deadliest of them all? Long before the story of Snow White, the events of ‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’ took place. After the evil Queen Ravenna murders her sister Freya’s child, Freya raises an army. The child was prophesied to become the fairest of them all, so Ravenna destroyed it. Now, Freya has built a fortress, raised an army, and proclaimed herself the Ice Queen. With the aid of her Huntsman and his lover Sara, she declares war against her sister.
Allegiant: The Divergent Series (12A) After the earth-shattering revelations of the previous instalment, The Divergent Series: Allegiant takes Tris and Four beyond the wall that surrounds Chicago. Outside, everything they thought they knew is tested. Lost and alone, they are taken in by a mysterious, but seemingly benevolent organisation which promises to keep them safe. The Survivalist (18)
A War (15) Danish, with English Subtitles. Company commander Claus M. Pedersen and his men are stationed in an Afghan province. Meanwhile back in Denmark Claus’ wife Maria is trying to hold everyday life together with a husband at war and three children missing their father. During a routine mission, the soldiers are caught in heavy crossfire and in order to save his men, Claus makes a decision that has grave consequences for him - and his family back home.
In a kill-or-be-killed world where starvation is rife and strangers are always dangerous, The Survivalist lives off the grid, and by his wits. When a starving woman and her teenage daughter discover his forest refuge, his loneliness drives him to overcome his suspicion and strike a bargain with them in return for bed and board. But as desire becomes stronger than necessity, the exchange becomes an uneasy, ongoing arrangement which threatens not only his carefully constructed world but also his life.
Freeheld (12A)
The Pearl Button (12A)
The true love story of Laurel Hester and Stacie Andree and their fight for justice. A decorated New Jersey police detective, Laurel (Julianne Moore) is diagnosed with cancer and wants to leave her hard earned pension to her domestic partner, Stacie (Ellen Page). However the county officials, Freeholders, conspire to prevent Laurel from doing this. Hard-nosed detective Dane Wells, and activist Steven Goldstein, unite in Laurel and Stacie’s defense, rallying police officers and ordinary citizens to support their struggle for equality.
Documentarian Patricio Guzmán (Nostalgia For The Light) has crafted a beautiful yet often harrowing account of Chile’s troubled and troubling relationship with the Pacific Ocean. Aided by interviews with eminent social historians, anthropologists and tribal elders, Guzmán links the virtual eradication of entire indigenous groups along Chile’s coastline in the 1800s with the Pinochet government’s dumping of thousands of ‘disappeared’ political prisoners into the sea over a century later.
Iona (15)
Do I Sound Gay? (15) After a break-up with his boyfriend, journalist David Thorpe embarks on a hilarious and touching journey of self-discovery, confronting his anxiety about “sounding gay.” Enlisting acting coaches, linguists, friends, family, total strangers, and celebrities, he quickly learns that many people - both gay and straight - often wish for a different voice.

Iona and her teenage son seek refuge from a violent crime back on the island (Iona) where she was raised. Her return exposes her son to the more gentle way of life she rejected when she left the island as a teenager and also resonates amongst those friends she had once left behind. Shetland star Douglas Henshall makes a return to the big screen in this striking and enthralling drama set against the stunning backdrop of the Inner Hebrides islands.

‘Rachel and Becky’s voices are one of the true wonders of 21st century music’ - NME ‘The Unthanks seem to regard folk music the same way Miles Davis regarded jazz: as a launch pad for exploring the wider possibilities.’ - Uncut

Nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and the only British folk representation in The Guardian’s and Uncut’s best albums of last decade (worldwide, all genres), The Unthanks is a family affair for Tyneside sisters Rachel and Becky Unthank. Definable only by their restless eccentricity, there are no easy one-liners to capture who or what The Unthanks are, or much point in guessing what they’ll do next.
