Central Intelligence (12A)
Ghostbusters (TBC)
Bob (Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson) was overweight and bullied at school, and only Calvin was ever kind to him. Now, Bob (Kevin Hart) works for the ‘Central Intelligence’ Agency, and he needs Calvin’s help. Calvin’s an accountant, and he misses being the coolest and most popular guy at school. Bob needs someone who’s good with numbers, so he recruits an extremely reluctant Calvin to his case. But as things get ever more dangerous and unpredictable, Bob may just manage to get them both killed after all.
Ghostbusters makes its long-awaited return, rebooted with a cast of hilarious new characters. Thirty years after the beloved original franchise took the world by storm, director Paul Feig brings his fresh take to the supernatural comedy, joined by some of the funniest actors working today--Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth. This summer, they’re here to save the world!
Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie (15)
Now You See Me 2 (12A) The Four Horsemen (Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Lizzy Caplan) return for a second mindbending adventure, elevating the limits of stage illusion to new heights and taking them around the globe. One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, the illusionists resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing the unethical practices of a tech magnate. The man behind their vanishing act is none other than Walter Marbry(Daniel Radcliffe), a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet. Their only hope is to perform one last unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind behind it all.
Edina and Patsy are still oozing glitz and glamour, living the high life they are accustomed to; shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around London’s trendiest hotspots. Blamed for a major incident at an uber fashionable launch party, they become entangled in a media storm and are relentlessly pursued by the paparazzi. Fleeing penniless to the glamorous playground of the super-rich, the French Riviera, they hatch a plan to make their escape permanent and live the high life forever more!

The Secret Life of Pets (U)
Ice Age: Collision Course (TBC)
The humans behind ‘Despicable Me’ take it upon themselves to reveal ‘The Secret Life Of Pets’ and show us what our animals get up to when we leave the house. Max is Katie’s terrier, and lives a pampered life as her favourite pet. But Max’s world is turned upside down when she brings home a sloppy mongrel called Duke, and he has to accept that he’s not the only dog in her world any more. Featuring the voices of Louis C.K., Kevin Hart and Lake Bell, come and learn about ‘The Secret Life Of Pets’. You’ll never look at your dog the same way again.
Manny, Sid and Diego are back for ‘Ice Age: Collision Course’. When Scrat’s quest for his acorn leads him to space, he accidentally sets an asteroid on course for Earth. Now, the rest of the herd must set out on a mission to save their world from annihilation. But, at least as far as Sid is concerned, the impending apocalypse is rather less important than finding a new girlfriend. Journey back to prehistory once more for ‘Ice Age: Collision Course’, the latest entry in the hugely successful franchise.

The BFG (TBC)
Finding Dory (TBC)
Stephen Spielberg brings Roald Dahl’s beloved classic to the big screen in this stunning new feature. Sophie is a young girl who lives in an orphanage. Together, they set out to capture the evil, man-eating giants who have been invading the human world.
Everyone’s favourite forgetful blue tang is back at last for ‘Finding Dory’, which sees her go off on a new adventure to search for the family she forgot about. Waking up one morning, she sees a picture in her head – and comes to a shocking realisation. She remembered something! It seems impossible, but it’s true, and now she wants answers about her past. Who are her parents? Where did she come from? And how did she learn to speak Whale?

When their father absent from the family home for the last 15 years dies, they travel to the countryside for his funeral and meet their shy teenage half-sister. Love & Friendship (U)
Truman (15)
Join Susan and her unwitting victims for ‘Love And Friendship, a critically-acclaimed comedy based on Jane Austen’s novel ‘Lady Susan’. The widowed Lady Susan Vernon arrives at her in-laws’ estate seeking ‘Love And Friendship’, as well as refuge from the rumours swirling through society about her. She has no husband and no wealth, but she does have a plan. She’s going to marry off her daughter to the richest man she can find – and she has the perfect candidate in the cheerful but rather stupid Sir James Martin.
A masterclass in acting, Truman brings Javier Cámara (Tomás) and Ricardo Darín (Julián) together in a character study of two old friends who are reunited, just as Julián is entering the final stages of cancer. Tomás flies over from Canada to Madrid to visit the ailing actor and his pet dog Truman, to whom Julián is devoted. Over four intense days, as the focus of conversation constantly reverts to the notion of mortality, the friends look back on their lives – their loves, successes and failures – and speculate on what the future holds.
Race (PG)
Everybody Wants Some (15)
In 1936 the Olympic Games were held in Berlin, Germany. Organised by the ruling Nazi-Party, the games were intended to showcase Hitler’s vision of the supremacy of the Aryan race. Race is an enthralling film about one man’s fight to become an Olympic legend.
Freshman Jake is about to start his first year at a Texas university - but before he can get started, he must navigate the hilarious, beer-soaked array of rituals and humiliating initiations. Moving into the house reserved for the baseball team, Jake falls in with the likes of the ubercompetitive McReynolds, smooth-talking ladies man Finn and nice guy Dale. GRETCHEN PETERS TUESDAY 26 JULY, 8.30pm
Mareel £18 / £15 One of Nashville’s most beloved and respected artists over the past two decades, Gretchen Peters, is coming to Shetland for the first time this summer. Performing in a duo format with her husband Barry Walsh, Peters will perform material drawn from throughout a songwriting career that began in the 1990s. The New York-born, Colorado-raised singer moved to Nashville in the late 1980s and was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in October 2014 by singer-songwriter Rodney Crowell, who described her as “both a songwriter and a poet [who] sings as beautifully as she writes”. Her 2015 album ‘Blackbirds’ debuted at number one on the UK country chart and reached the top 40 UK pop chart, winning international album of the year and song of the year at the UK Americana Awards in February this year. Support for her show at Mareel will come from Sheila Henderson.
