A concept gives future design decisions and works as a roadmap that can refer to throughout the design process and futuristic mediums that are going to be designed for. In essence, a well-crafted concept leads to an identity that comunicates the exact message the client needs. The planning is followed by the tradition of houses from Tamil Nadu. The agrahara were usually followed linear planning, quite in contrast to the arrangement of rooms around the courtyard as in the traditional Tamil Nadu houses. The spaces will be surrounded by buildings while the center is the gathering space which acts as the courtyard.

Women’s Hostel
WOMEN’S HOSTEL
OBJECTIVE
To design a budget oriented, shared accomodation for the studying and working women addressing their comfortability and security.
SITE Near elcot Sez, Sholinganallur , Chennai. Site Area : 2450 sq.metres
DESIGN APPROACH ‘To design a home away from home’ The increasing no. of working women in urban cities are in need of a place where ‘the survival triangle’ of food , shelter and security is met with. But , hostels being just concrete blocks and women being miles away from home get immersed in solitude and loneliness.Hence, the design response is thus formulated to reinterpret the social communal living in a totally new context of ‘stepped /cascade’ building forms.
By stepping down in either sides of the building a series of landscaped open terraces are formed. Circulation is arranged towards the courtyardside and connects to all shared terraces. The gym and the skyway in the second and third floors respectively connects the two blocks above the ground level.

VERTICAL GARDEN
The green wall will help to vastly improve the quality of air in any enviroment. it acts as natural air filter, purifyingthe polluted air whilst releasing clean oxygen. the presence of green walls lead to great overall health, since cleaner air leads to better concentration Vertical gardens are a wonderful alternative to potted plants in any space. While potted plants have the advantage of being placed anywhere, they can take up space and require lots of maintenance. However, with vertical gardens there is only one large panel to maintain
