Hello! Welcome to the first issue of Shifted’s feature of the month! These will be magazine style features brought to you each month with some show coverage thrown on for good measure (this month on the BHP Show last year) as we plan to grow these features into a small scale digital magazine‌ So welcome to what I will introduce as Shifted magazine issue #1!
I would like to take this time to thank all the people who have helped me out to get us this far and a big thank you to this months feature car owner Danny for being so patient as I have been tweaking and preparing the first issue of shifted magazine.

If any of you are gamers then you will recognize the above quote from Bio Shock. Awesome game if you haven't played it and also one of Danny Becker’s favourite games. Along with Danny’s favourites his favourite car, the type of car that was fun to drive and fun to mod. He decided on a 2005 Mitsubishi Evolution VIII GSR. A gem amongst car enthusiasts, Danny was the happiest guy in the world when he purchased it. The car went thru a few different looks before having the look that it has now. And a few different wheels as well. He couldn't go wrong with this set of Work Emotion XD 9's with a black mirror finish. The pictures don't do justice as to how shiny these actually are. Lawd.
Despite running into issues that made it seem that the car would never be complete; car problems, parts delayed, life throwing curveballs. It almost seemed impossible. But he chose not to give up. Slowly but surely he pieced the car together, swapping parts till it looked like the beautiful machine it looks like now. As we all know, waiting for parts is the worst part of modifying a car. The agony sucks!!! But the patience paid off.
The Varis 'wang' completed the race inspired look that Danny was looking for, and complemented the Varis front bumper and the Rexspeed diffuser in the rear. From the 4 point Sparco Harness complete with seats, to the white Brembo calipers...Danny made sure that this was going to look right.
When he attended the Ocean City Car Show in 2013, he thought that he would be beat out by Elite Performance team member, Srun who also has an Evo. But to Dannys shock, he was awarded 1st place Mitsubishi. His hard work was paying off! Here we are in 2014, and Danny is ready to go back to Ocean City and defend his title. This time around, Danny will definitely be making a statement.
