PHASE 1

2021

2026

2036

2051

The first phase oversees extensive land use and FSR changes across the precinct to support higher density development in the future. Green links are enhanced to strengthen the open space network, and areas for sustainable design excellence are identified to support sustainable development. A commercial core is established in the CBD, surrounded by medium and high density mixed use development. !"##"

PHASE 3 !#

2021

2026

2036

2051

The final phase sees the largest provision of new medium and high density housing in East Parramatta and the CBD. Medium density mixed use development expands along Victoria Road, and an enterprise corridor established in North Parramatta. We anticipate this phase to see the continued development aligned with the strategic directions set in earlier stages.

Cultivtating the city: A university campus Postgraduate: Urban Poroject Design Studio Location: Westmead, New South Wales, Australia

Parramatta is Sydney’s Central City with the river at its heart and home to the University of Sydney’s future western campus. The proposed campus is located at the core intersection of the site with significant world-listed heritage buildings, Westmead Health Precinct and Parramatta Park. The future campus will explore and investigate traditional concepts as well as conceive new adaptations of blended forms in a contemporary university setting.

HERITAGE & OPEN SPACES The design will adapt the site’s culture and context by supporting strong historic significance through the adaptive reuse of heritage buildings in response to the campus setting. The future campus will recognise Parramatta’s diverse community as a key stakeholder and create opportunities for the acknowledgement of the river as a natural urban value. The future campus will provide mixed-use buildings of student accommodation, academic and commercial in response to the blended building form and use with its surrounding context. 20 | Westmead Campus

The future campus will incorporate a pre-school and primary school with outdoor learning areas to promote a healthy and engaging environment. In response to this, the design proposal consists of a variety of open spaces and pocket parks that are utilised for general relaxation, playground, sports oval, basketball courts and outdoor learning zones. Many of the open spaces are strategically located on the outskirts of the boundary with close proximity to public transport, pre-school and primary school to ensure strengthened accessibility. 21

Newtown is a suburb that asserts its unique qualities proudly amongst its surrounding Inner West and Sydney suburbs. While it is known that Newtown is an outlier in terms of its outward expression of contemporary culture, there lies opportunities to increase permeability. Our vision aims conserve Newtown's culture and encourage new representations of culture while heightening a sense of community through divergent pedestrian routes.

HOUSE OF CELEBRATION A compact design for events and celebrations Undergraduate: Architectural technologies 2 Location: Putney, New South Wales, Australia

‘House of Celebration’ is located in Putney Park, Putney, along the Parramatta River of Sydney. The project emphasises on public access and utilisation of the harbour and river edge for Sydney in the twenty first century and beyond. The design responds to the edge of the waterway and land topography. It aims to serve as a site for ceremonies and celebrations in our multicultural secular society.
