Jharkhand Assembly Elections
Executive Summary
BJP Storm, Modi Magic to Sweep over Jharkhand The political scenario of India is going through a transformation. Seven months in power, the NaMo wind is as strong as ever and the magic that was created during the Lok Sabha polls has still kept the Indian populace enchanted. The BJP-led central government with Narendra Modi at the helm has received full marks to its way of functioning. A new sense of accountability has been instilled in the bureaucracy and a special effort is on to ensure transparency in various governmental departments. The initiatives of the Modi government to bring back black money to India and the Ganga cleaning drive have received huge appreciation from common people. People have welcomed the government’s more recent move towards creating a Swachh Bharat (Clean India) with an equal zeal and after a long barren period they have started to believe that good days are indeed round the corner. The belief has played its part in various State Assembly elections too. BJP has tasted success in various state assembly elections by solely riding on the charisma and great initiatives of the central government. For the first time, BJP has been able to form government in Maharashtra and got a thumping win in Haryana as well. Naturally with Jharkhand Assembly polls knocking at the door, BJP would like to see an encore of its success there as well. As the Indian political situation is gradually turning into a One Man-One Party show, we at foreseegame.com thought to measure the people’s pulse in Jharkhand. As the state is entering the election zone in a few days, we thought it was time to tap on the hopes and aspirations of the people of Jharkhand. Which party would they like to see in power? Who they want as their next Chief Minister? And what would be the deciding factor to vote? We pondered on these very obvious questions that would come to mind before any election and sought the answers from the electorate. And as the people of Jharkhand responded to these questions, they made it clear that like any other Indian state, Jharkhand too is swaying with the Modi storm.
