SECTION 1.0 – Introduction
This is a report made for Architectural drafting-1 CAD as a part of term project. This report is the analysis of residential house. This project wants us to understand a study architectural building and learn significant styles of architecture. So keeping that in mind I have chosen a unique house called ‘Messner House’ which is located at the foot of the Scalier, in the picturesque area of Alpe di Siusi (Bolzano) in the province South Tyrol. While making this project I have analyzed the building for it architectural style, features and materials. This report also includes architectural drawings of the building along with cost analysis spreadsheet. This House is made in about an area of 220 meter square. The uniqueness of this building is that it is executed at a height of 1100 a.s.l at the foot of Alpe Di Siusi. It is also recognized as a Unesco World Heritage. The Structure dates back to 1850.

SECTION 2.0 – Architectural Features and Style
Keeping tradition in mind, but at the same time moving away to create an original identity, a new way of living, a different structuring of the domestic space, and to search from a childhood passed in the mountains. In in short is the challenge faced by noa* in the project to construct a new home at Siusi in Sciliar. The job was completed in 2017.The project is at a height of 1100 a.s.l at the foot of Alpe De Siusi. This building is made with traditional principles of spatial distribution. The outcome of the project is dwelling, having two aspects that confront each other in their style. The exterior represents the traditional alpine location, splendidly immersed in the local topography, while the interior boasts the visionary impulse, the surprise of the space freed from the general scheme things, almost permeable, osmotic and certainly innovative. Messner House is a great example of a classy contemporary design. To keep the exterior traditional and make it match with other buildings in the surrounding it was made from a coating namely a wooden grid on all four sides, just as often seen with alpine barns. However as the interior is concerned, noa* definitely thought out of the box and came up with stunningly striking features that are impossible to ignore. On the ground floor there is a common area with spreads out almost in a ‘piazza’ fashion and the rest of the interior develops in a vertical way and instead of classical room division there are ‘hanging boxes’ which are positioned at different heights and interconnected by stairs and walkways which gives the sensation of walking up a mountain path towards the peak.

SECTION 3.0 – Circulation and Zoning of the Messner House
On the ground floor there is a common area which spreads out almost in a ‘piazza’ fashion for (habitional) and intellectual use; there is a dining table to enjoy with friends and ample sized kitchen to accommodate more than one cook! The rest of the house developing a vertical way and instead of classical room division there are what can be described as ‘hanging boxes’, which are positioned at different heights and interconnected by stairs and walkways-they give the sensation of walking up a mountain path towards the peak. The hallways are carefully designed so that, apart from their connecting function, they accommodate other essential areas such as the library and open ‘bathroom’ areas with tubs and showers. The entire structure is conceived in a way that the further one goes up the level of privacy the intimacy is heightened. The highest ‘box’ which features a sauna opens out to the splendid view of the Santner Mountain. 4
[MAJOR PROJECT REPORT CAD] December 9, 2019 The revolutionary distribution of the interior spaces can be noted also from the exterior, and a sort of counterpoints is created with the traditional presentation of the exterior itself.to the north the two boxes of the bedrooms, finished In bronze, can be seen behind the wooden trills shell, and as a result the material contrast is evident, while to the south is a sauna box which protrudes the glass façade.
SECTION 4.0 – CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM AND MATERIALS The job of Mansser House was completed in 2017. The project was executed at a height of 1100 a.s.l at the foot of Alpe di Siusi, a part of the Dolomite recognized as a Unesco World heritage due to the outstanding natural beauty. It was therefore extremely important to respect the parameters of the original structure and the urban planning requirements of the village. On the ground floor there is a common area that spreads out almost in a ‘pizza’ fashion for and interactional use: there is a dining table to enjoy with friends, an in a vertical way and instead of the classical room division there are what can be described as “hanging boxes”, which are positioned at the different heights and interconnect by stairs and walkways- they giving a sensation of the walking up a mountain path towards the peak. The entire structure is conceived in a way that the further one goes up the level of privacy and intimacy is heightened. The highest box which features a sauna opens out to the splendid view. 5
[MAJOR PROJECT REPORT CAD] December 9, 2019 SECTION 5.0 -CONCLUSION The Massner house is a perfect example of a tradition house with modern architecture. To keep up with the surrounding Noa* has designed such a house that looks traditional from the outside but is a masterpiece from inside. The house that he build relating to his childhood is at the top of the peak with a mesmerizing view. In this project I have analyzed the house and have drawn the plans and other architectural drawings to display my understanding.in conclusion this project wants us to understand a study architectural building and learn significant styles of architecture. So keeping that in mind I have chosen a unique house called ‘Messner House’ which is located at the foot of the Scalier, in the picturesque area of Alpe di Siusi (Bolzano) in the province South Tyrol.
