I’ve always been called “weird.”

I’ve been called a lot of names in my lifetime, but weird is my favorite. Because to me, weird is interesting. Wild. Different. Magnificent. Full of unexplored possibility. If you’re hiding something about yourself because you’re worried about coming off “weird” or “different”, please stop. Recognize that there are other people out there, who are just like you…Weird. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my life, it’s that the sooner you embrace your weird, instead of feeling embarrassed about it, the sooner that your happiness can reach its full potential.

When you embrace your weird, it allows new, interesting ideas to come to fruition that you and maybe the world have never seen. When you embrace your weird, you embrace yourself. All the good, bad, and the bizarre. And there’s nothing more amazing than that. Be your weird self. It’s awesome. NOMADIC

Ways to love yourself I tend to take care of others and neglect myself. I'm not alone in this. One of my resolutions for 2016 is to take the time to care for myself, the way that I care for others. Here are some ideas on how to show yourself a little love: Sit down and have that cup of tea, even if you don't "have time." Turn on your favorite song and sing at the top of your lungs. Buy yourself a box of chocolates (and share with no one). Take a long, hot bubble bath with your favorite chilled beverage. Sleep in (and don't feel bad about it). Stay in your pajamas all day, bingewatching your favorite show. Read or watch something that YOU want to read or watch.

HAPPY V-DAY!

VALENTINE'S DAY FUN! Valentine's Day is about showing the people that you love, your love. You don't have to spend a dime to make the day memoriable. Here are some ideas to make this Valentine's day, the best one yet. by Jolene Haley

CUDDLE ALL DAY! Make some popcorn, grab some blankets, build a fort, and cuddle up with the one that you love. After all, there's nothing better than being in their arms. Am I right?

VOLUNTEER The best kind of gift is given with love and care. Spend your day giving love to others through volunteering somewhere that needs it most, whether it's with animals, kids, or adults. You make a difference.

CLEAN UP Is there a no-so-fun thing that they have been putting off? Dishes? Cleaning up a mess? Laundry? Show them you care by helping them with their To-Do list.

STARE AT THE STARS It's a pretty amazing that every night we are treated to our own, private astronomy tour! Grab a blanket, sit outside, and see if you can find any constellations. Then, make up your own and the story behind it!

WRITE IT OUT! There's no better way to tell someone that you can about them, than simply saying it. Write them a poem, a sonnet, or a song. Perform it for them.

GO OUTSIDE The greatest miracle around you is the Earth. The wind, the sky, the sea, and the people and natural creatures who inhabit it. Go exploring. Watch a sunset. Dip your toes into a freezing river. Marvel at the wind in the trees. You'll be glad you did.

ADMIRE Admire and revel in your body. Admire and appreciate your partner's body. You are beautiful and perfect, just as you are. Celebrate that.
