WHERE FILM BECOMES ARCHITECTURE & VICE VERSA
Public Talk & Intensive Workshops
PUBLIC TALK & PRESENTATION
By Richard Douzjian 16 October 2014 at 6pm at Dawawine
Extended Cinematics is an analytical and design process originally developed by Richard Douzjian in Kyoto University as means to assist architectural designers in: 1.Transforming film-specific properties into architectural ones, thus creating human environments with more meaningful architectonic elements, experiential spatial qualities and narrative organizations; 2. Structuring their creative thought processes in order to generate innumerable novel ideas especially in periods of inspirational blocks. A brand new “Architecture to Film” approach dedicated to filmmakers, screenwriters, and video artists will also be introduced during these latest lecture & workshop editions.
