From the Tony Award®-winning creators of the Broadway classic Ragtime, this dazzling show transports us from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing conman and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love, and family. US Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors

Traveling While Black is a film by Academy Award winner Roger Ross Williams and Emmy Award-winning Felix & Paul Studios that transports viewers to historic Ben’s Chili Bowl restaurant in Washington, D.C. through a twenty-minute virtual reality experience. Viewers share an intimate series of moments with several of Ben’s patrons as they reflect on their experiences of restricted movement and race relations in the United States, offering the opportunity to facilitate a dialogue about the challenges minority travelers still face today. GET THE LED OUT, A Celebration of "The Mighty Zep" is a group of professional musicians who are passionate about their love of the music of Led Zeppelin. It's been their mission to bring the studio recordings of "The Mighty Zep" to life on the big concert stage. This is not an impersonator act, but rather a group of musicians who were fans first, striving to do justice to one of the greatest bands in rock history!

Shippensburg University Community Orchestra: Beethoven!

The Shippensburg University Community Orchestra, directed by Dr. Mark Hartman, presents a wonderful afternoon of Beethoven in this free musical goodwill offering to the community. The exquisitely talented Margaret Lucia, professor of Music at Shippensburg University, joins the orchestra to present Beethoven’s dazzling and virtuosic Piano Concerto No. 4 in G, followed by one of the best-known classical masterworks of all time, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C. Minor. Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony is a surefire crowd pleaser with the dramatic intensity of the first movement blossoming into the lyrical andante of the second movement, with the heroic third movement leading into a triumphant finish in the finale. Airmen of Note: The United States Air Force Band

The Airmen of Note is the premier jazz ensemble of the United States Air Force. Created in 1950 to continue the tradition of Major Glenn Miller’s Army Air Forces dance band, the ensemble tours across the United States as well as to deployments around the world. In 1990, the Airmen of Note established the Jazz Heritage Series, featuring the “Note” in concert with legendary icons such as Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Williams, Sarah Vaughan, and Doc Severinsen. The Jazz Heritage Series broadcasts to millions over NPR, independent jazz radio stations, satellite radio, and the internet. While this event is free to the public, tickets are required. Tickets can be reserved by calling the box office.

A $5 per ticket service charge is applied to each ticket purchased online or by phone, and is non-refundable whether the show is canceled or postponed.

*A $35 service charge will be imposed on each returned check in addition to any charges that may be assessed by the financial institution. Luhrs Center also requires that the check writer pay the amount due with cash, certified check, or money order

Ticket Policies

CHILDREN

All children are required to hold tickets for performances and must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian in all areas of the Luhrs Center.

EXCHANGES AND REFUNDS

All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be given under any circumstance unless an event is canceled or rescheduled. Internet fees and mailing fees are not refundable under any circumstances. You can purchase tickets in person at the Luhrs Center box office to avoid service charges. Luhrs Center does not rate performer content unless the performer informs Luhrs Center that the performance may not be suitable for all age groups. Luhrs Center strongly urges ticket buyers to be informed about the performances for which they are purchasing tickets. Performer content is not a reason for a ticket exchange or refund.

CANCELED OR RESCHEDULED EVENTS

If an event is canceled or rescheduled, the Luhrs Center box office will contact ticket purchasers via letter, e-mail, or phone as soon as the cancellation/postponement is announced with information about ticket refund/exchange options. If an event is canceled, ticket purchasers will be refunded the amount of the tickets; however, Luhrs Center does not refund the handling/mailing/service charges related to ticket purchases. Inclement weather is not cause for a refund or exchange unless the performance is canceled or postponed. Cancellation or postponement notices will be posted on luhrscenter.com.
