Shirley Chen

Hi, I am a human experience designer who tells stories through space. With a background in architectural design at Carnegie Mellon University and Urban Design at Columbia University, I consistently explore the boundaries between the interior and exterior, the buildings and city fabric, the tangible and intangible with passion and curiosity. Due to my broad interests in music, interactive design, responsive environment, furniture design, and many more, I love to experiment with various interdisciplinary design approaches to explore how design at different scales can create provoking experience for the audience to induce a sense of empathy, connection and resonance between our own existence and others, individual and society, human and nature.
