The Tuticorin Coast Being Affected By Years Of Illegal Mining Is A Myth

The company accused of illegal mining, VV Minerals was raided by District Collector Ashish Kumar about a year ago in August last year. No substantial evidences were found, and after an investigation of a couple of months, it was found that no evidences were found against VV Minerals, India.

According to news report in Deccan chronicle, the central

government gave them a green card because no evidences of illegal beach mining were observed.

Through effective CSR activities and sustainable development efforts, VV Minerals has been a consistently non polluting mineral mining company in Tamil Nadu. They have also won several awards for their SCR initiatives which have led to better development of the local areas in Tamil Nadu like Tisayanvilai and Tuticorin.

According to a news report in the Business Standard, the Indian bureau of Mines which works under the Ministry of Mines also found no evidence in the alleged illegal mining of atomic minerals across tirunelveli, Kanyakumari and Tuticorin districts in Tamil Nadu by a VV Minerals, owned privately by Mr. S Vaikundarajan.

VV Minerals, India was established in the year 1989, and has grown ever since. The top management includes Mr. V Subramanian, Mr. J Muthurajan, and Mr. Jegatheesan as the managing directors. The Chairman and managing director is Mr. S. Vaikundarajan. They mainly deal with zircon mining, garnet mining, ilmenite mining and rutile mining.
