VV Mineral Comes Out Clean After Tamil Nadu Government Probe Into Beach Mineral Mining Case

At the time of the investigation the mining activities were put to a halt by the Tamil Nadu Government which led to quite a lot of losses for the Company as well as the economy. Beach mining is replenishable and in the absence of any mining activities the minerals like garnet, rutile, ilmenite, are carried away by sea waves and as a result, Sri Lanka which placed further down south experiences benefits at the cost of the Indian Industry. The false allegation was made by V Sundaram, a retired civil servant. In his complaint he mentioned that atomic minerals worth Rs 96,120 crore worth was carried out by VV Minerals in Tirunelveli district with the full connivance of government servants from the Centre and the state. But, despite all such news the truth was revealed in a joint inspection report by the department of Geology and Mining and the Indian Bureau of

Mines (IBM). The report further said production details furnished by the company, were found to be appropriate and that there was no tampering or any kind of uncertainty in them.
