Q41: Further comments

Number of comments Comments about general maintenance in Crambeck Down towards the Water Treatment Works is very messy Rubbish bins left permanently outside cause obstructions and are unsightly Make the playing field level - it is currently dangerous for children with all the holes Tennis courts should be resurfaced I already pay ÂŁ20 a month for a gardener (with regards to helping maintain the communal areas) Dog fouling should be cleared by the dog owners - it shouldn't be anyone else's job Street lights need better maintenance The horse paddock needs better maintenance Comments about parking in Crambeck Parking - Each household should be limited to the number of cars that they can park in the village. Parking - Visitors should all be informed they must not park in other people's parking bays without permission Create extra parking near the tennis court or paddock rather than people having to a park on roundabouts Would like a no parking sign in Crambeck lane People should not park on the roundabouts Comments about the A64 Should widen the entry to Crambeck from the A64 south to reduce the risk of collision Need a traffic island with bollards to make access to and from the A64 safer Suggest some asphalt at the approach to the A64 so that cars can get a better grip Any bridge/facility for crossing the A64 needs to be well thought through to ensure it is safe Our major concern is access to the A64 Comments about facilities in Crambeck Would like a local shop/newsagent in Crambeck/Welburn Tearoom - would like to be able to get takeaway from them again

Would like a BBQ area Comments about maintenance of roads in Crambeck Street cleaning would be an advantage to keep drains clear Crambeck lane needs to be swept more often Crambeck lane needs to have a complete tarmac Comments about events/groups in Crambeck Believe the village committee do an excellent job organising events Would be nice to have more village events for adults/single people rather than all children/family orientated Want to know how new people can get involved in the Crambeck Mangement Committee - new residents should be encouraged to participate. Comments about Welburn residents People from Welburn should be encouraged to join in Crambeck events It would be nice if Welburn residents made contacts for reasons other than wanting our money etc Comments about motor vehicles in general Unused/scrap cars should not be allowed to be left in the village Unhappy with the number of caravans in the village - believed that that they weren't allowed Comments about the questionnaire I feel that this should be the last questionnaire that residents are asked to complete Thank you for the opportunity to express our views Comments about road gritters Road gritters should come to the village. Why don't they? The most important part of the road for gritting is the hill at the junction with the A64 on Crambeck Lane Comments about Local Authorities The parish councils need to address the problems of bus shelters at Crambeck village Local authorities should keep their promises with regards to the bus shelters and speeding traffic Comments about a children’s play area A children's village play area should be top priority Comments about traffic We would like to have the top end of Crambeck Village developed into a one way system Comments about mobile/TV reception We may want better mobile and tv reception but we need to think of the mast - we wouldn't like that
