Our AW19 women’s collection will make you dress the part until you are the brave revolutionary, you’ve always wanted to be. While on one hand the collection is rebelling in a colorful way, and the other is responding with a bite and spike.

AW19 is a collection inspired by a generation of activists – they make the future happen and are a part of creating a new world. From this comes the idea of fashion as “armor” via heavy military boots, lace-ups, and chunky chains, as seen in the collection. Consequently, AW19 celebrates power and individuality which results in a collection of shoes that are dying to be worn with leather dresses, head-to-toe animal print, and a nod to the riotous spirit of the late 1990’s rave revolution.

The range is inspired by the ideologies and aesthetics of the early 1990’s rave revolution. Rave was Europe’s last big youth movement; a period of radical social and political change. As a music-based culture, it embraced rebellion, invention, and unbridled creativity. This energy is being harnessed by youth today in fashion, music, art, and politics but with a more eclectic, inclusive, anarchic energy. The silhouettes in the range are influenced by this era with bold new shapes, practical outdoors elements, utility boots, and futuristic styling. There is also a smarter look with modern formal styles referencing the minimalistic aesthetic of designer Helmut Lang in the early 1990s.

The collection is as comfortable as it is aesthetically appealing. There is a shift towards people looking for real experiences especially getting out into the great outdoors which is reflected in the Trek style sneakers and hiking boots. Sportswear as fashion clothing has become interwoven with many subcultures from high-end luxury to streetwear. The expanded sneaker range takes a more futuristic approach to sport silhouettes.

The 90s aesthetics are expressed in a palette of moody hues with the signature design details throughout. It is wearable luxury combined with a militant attitude. As in the 90’s there is a lot to rebel against in the political climate, with the youth of today at the forefront of this. Protest boots and military styling reflect this mood. The bold silhouettes are built for winter but with the added feature of being lightweight.

AW19 offers a monochromatic smart look with modern silhouettes in glossy textures, which can be worn smart but has a casual element. Here it is about the right shades: classic black, bitter chocolate and tan. There are also some new textures with some interesting stamped leathers, such as croc on lightweight loafers and wallaby patterns.
