Shona McMillan

I am a photographer, writer and musician from Edinburgh, descended from a family connected to the sea, mining and farming. I grew up in the cultural mix of Edinburgh city, East Lothian's fishing community and the Scottish Highlands. With a love for culture, people and places, in 2006, I set up my multi-media project People and Songs of the Sea. [My exhibitions have been visited by12,000 people, my project CD won Radio Liveireland’s Compendium Album 2010. In 2011, I won creative Project of the Decade from the Irish American News and from Scotland, the Culture Sparks Marketing Impact Award. A freelance photojournalist, I enjoy sharing my extra photos online with others through my Facebook page which I invite you to visit and 'Like'.
