Presenting fruits to kids

Presenting Fruits To Kids When is the best time to start offering fruits to children? The majority of infant books suggest starting from 4-6 months. In my post on weaning baby onto solids, I suggest providing veggies from 6 months. I prefer to present fruits from about 8 - 10 months which offers me time to check on the baby's capability to digest the vegetables. You can examine this out by taking a look at your child's stools.

Which is why I recommend starting fruits later on if the stools contain undigested vegetables this suggests that his system is not prepared to take fruits. It is best to hold off on presenting citrus fruits up until your infant is at least 2 years old. When you do introduce citrus fruits, monitor your kid for symptoms such as hives, rashes or wheezing. If you have a family history of allergies, eczema and asthma, it might be helpful to refer to the chart on blood group diet plan and inspect out the most ideal fruit to provide and which one to avoid. Some people advocate providing pureed fruits to kids. I personally do not prefer to do this because, first of all I am too lazy to do this and second of all but most importantly, processing fruits will decrease the nutritional contents of the fruits.
