Pathways Homeschool Students Hold Mock Debate Event

Thirty high school students from Pathways Homeschool participated in a debate that is actually coming before the public this summer. Three groups argued prointroduction, and three argued antiintroduction of the American
Marten to the state of Pennsylvania. It was a close vote with three judges who voted pro, and two against. This was a culminating interdisciplinary activity for a speech and communications class and environmental science.

This is a real issue in Pennsylvania. The PA Game Commission has conducted feasibility studies, and will have public hearings this summer. A decision will be made in the fall. The event judges included Greg Graham (Game Commission
