Audrey R. (Titlow) Priga, 89, formerly of Reading, resident of Providence Place, Lancaster, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023. Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Howard B. and Edna (Endy) Titlow. Audrey was the wife of Edward J. Priga, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage until his passing in 2010.

Audrey graduated from Reading High School, class of 1952. After graduating high school, Audrey attended Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, graduating in 1955 as a Registered Nurse. During her time in Philadelphia getting her degree, she met Edward Priga and the two were married April 7, 1956. Audrey worked as the Assistant Director of Nursing for the former Community General Hospital in Reading until she retired in 1996. Audrey was an avid reader, enjoying all kinds of books such as novels, history books, and books on various current events. She also frequently put puzzles together on her iPad as a relaxing pastime. Audrey enjoyed traveling, particularly to the beach at Stone Harbor, and visiting her son Dan, in Pittsburgh. Her love and dedication to others will be forever remembered.

Audrey is survived by three children: Daniel (Sandra) Priga of Cranberry Township, Steven (Rebecca) Priga of Denver, & Amy (Jason) Blavatt of Reisterstown, MD; five grandchildren, Kate Priga of Pittsburgh, Benjamin (Katie) Priga, stationed in HI,

Sarah (Tad) Shirley of Lacona, NY, & Jared & Rachel Blavatt of Reisterstown, MD; four great-grandchildren, Judah Shirley, Charlotte Shirley, Hayden Priga, & Madelyn Priga; one brother, Charles R. (Patricia) Titlow of Shillington; six nieces, and one brother-in-law, James (Sue) Priga of Bethlehem.

A viewing was held on Thursday, May 18th with a funeral service at Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, 34 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown (Stevens). Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery in Shillington, PA.

Elizabeth “Betty” Bird Hershman, 92, New Holland, passed away recently.

She was the wife of the late Melvin Stanley Hershman.

She is survived by three daughters: Stephanie Ann (Hershman) Smith; Karen Sue Hershman; and Alison B. (Hershman) Heisler; three grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and a brother, Michael Bird, husband of Pauline.

She was preceded in death by her companion, Hal Thomas.

George A. Robinson, 90, Brethren Village, Lititz, passed away on Thursday, May 4.

He was the husband of the late Patricia Ives Robinson.

He is survived by a foster son, Roy Weiler, husband of Lori, Mount Joy; three

The 2023 National Night Out Community Event will be Tuesday, August 1, from 6pm to 8pm, at the Warwick Township Municipal Campus (315 Clay Road, Lititz, PA 17543)

To ensure the success of this very important event, we are seeking contributions to help defray the costs associated with this event - all funds raised can go directly toward the community. This event is not part of our regular budget line items.

In past events, we were able to provide the community free of charge with hot dogs, drinks, games, ra e tickets and children’s bicycle give-aways - just to name a few.

We are accepting donations of any size or value, to include vendor services (i.e. grills, foods, snacks, drinks, paper plates, napkins, etc.).

He was preceded in death by two sons, Raleigh and Jeffrey Robinson.

Jean Elizabeth (Mumma) Hostetter, 99, Lititz, passed away on Friday, May 5.

She was the wife of the late Harold L. Hostetter.

She is survived by two sons: Clair, husband of Orpha Hostetter, Lititz, and Glenn, husband of Lois Hostetter, East Prospect; three daughters: Janet Hostetter, Lititz; Joyce, wife of Richard Thomas, Ronks; and Mary Ann Hostetter, Mount Joy; eight grandchildren; eight great­grandchildren; two brothers: Thomas Mumma, Elizabethtown, and Clay Mumma, Lancaster; and a sister,

Reba D. Sweigart, 95, Pleasant View Communities, Manheim, formerly of Ephrata and Mt. Joy, passed away on Friday, May 5.

John Allen Burke, 82, husband of Kathryn A. Bagley Burke, Lititz, passed away on Saturday, May 6.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, John Allen Burke II, husband of Angi Brasher; two daughters: Kristina Lynn Armitage, wife of Brendan, and Kimberly Ann Kennelly, wife of Brion; and seven grandchildren.

Doris M. Cooper, 89, formerly of Lancaster and Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, May 9.
