Hello, We hope this Fall season finds you and your family well and that you are as excited as we are about what the rest of 2016 holds and are looking forward to 2017. We have had some wonderful additions to Winegardner Show Cattle beginning with a new grandson, McCoy Dean Klingaman born to Hannah and Kurtis in July and a new son-in-law Shane Werk . Our daughter Ashlie and him were married in August. With each year comes change and life happens. We are so thankful that Tyler and Natalie’s son three year old Beckett is on the mend after suffering a femur fracture in August. We can’t forget our precious Ryker who will be two in December. We are thankful to the good Lord for protecting us and for seeing over our family. With family growth comes hope for a bright future. It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that we present to you our 2016 offering of heifer calves. What a fantastic year it has been for us as we come off a very successful show season from people that purchased cattle in our 2015 sale. We were able to place calves in some wonderful homes and as a result many reached the backdrop. We have a superb set of open heifer calves for you to view in the

upcoming pages of this sale catalog and videos will be available for viewing on our website and links to videos from our Facebook page. Whether you are looking for a show heifer prospect or future cow with the ability to flush and promote in your herd we think you will find what you are looking for here. We are offering a combination of Chi, Maine, Simmy, Angus and Shorthorn plus calves. Our team is here to back you with your purchase. We are here to help as little or as much as you need. Feel free to give Tyler, Kurtis or Brad a call anytime with questions. Cattle are on display at the farm and we would love for you and your family to stop in and see the cattle in person. Thanks for your support in the past and we are looking forward to seeing you for number 20 on November 5th in Lima at the fairgrounds! Sincerely,

Brad & Melanie Winegardner

OUR 2016 SALE OFFERING

This Sunflower donor is proving herself to be one of the very best cows around here. No matter what we mate her to she continues to knock it out of the park as she is building them for today’s world.

Sire: Man on a Mission Dam: Sunflower (Monopoly x Troy Boy) DOB: 4-28-2016 Reg. Chi: 15.4%

It’s always a challenge for Kurtis and I to make the lot #’s for the sale. This year it was easy for some reason, and there was no question we were starting with the Sunflowers. When this female was born we knew she was truly a special beast. 316D is so right for the times having that huge rib cage combined with worlds of power and a great look from the side. As you will see through this offering we are only scratching the surface of how good these Dual Threat females are.

Who doesn’t love a beautiful red one and yes she is a full sister to last year’s high seller and very successful female owned by David Smith. The striking presence this one has is 2nd to none. We love her long term build to possibly win a big one someday.

It’s hard to put into words what this Y Not cow is doing for and us and her track record is speaking for itself in the show ring. In just one year the amount of banners this cow’s offspring has produced is scary. This Swag female we feel is going to be no different than her maternal sisters have been. When I made this mating I am not sure I could even have imagine how good it could be. This heifer is so unique with worlds of extension, huge body and perfect structure. It’s sometimes hard to find the happy medium of jackpot and national show heifer but I feel no matter where you want to exhibit this one she is going to be a handful to get around.

By the end of this catalog you may get tired of me telling you how much I love these Dual threat females, but I promise if you see them you will agree with me. There is no doubt this females long term build is incredible as she is so angular, smooth and feminine while having that perfect rib shape and flawless structure. No matter which way you choose to show her we believe she will be a major factor in the ring and more importantly as a donor.

ROCKN ACE 36U

This has been one of the toughest decisions we have ever made as a family, but we have sold half interest in our legendary Rockn Ace 36U donor. We have been pretty stingy with this cow over the years and pretty much have kept her to ourselves. We have been very fortunate to have several daughters in production and it has turned out to be awesome. This female has been the backbone of our operation for many years and will continue to be with our new partner the Jeb Skiles family and Tony and Brandy Jeffs. We are so excited to be partners with them as they have a fantastic reputation of owning the very best cows in the industry no matter what breed.

This mating is continuing to work great for us, we absolutely adore this heifer calf and the future she holds. If you’re looking for a great structured big bodied good looking one, she is for you. He and the Reindel family purchased these great females’ mother a few years ago and wow has it turned out well. I truly believe you will have to travel a lot of miles to find a composite that is this good, oh and did I mention there’s no doubt in my mind she can run as a chi too.

Her look and quality is something that everyone strives to raise while still being so functional in her skeleton and center body. Give this one a little time and the future will be very bright for her new owner.

If you are in the mood for a big time donor cow and killer maintainer SWAG Full Sib to Lot 10 show heifer with proven genetics here she is. We have actually thought all year about Full Sib to Lot 10 not selling this one but as you know everything is for sale around here.

We are very fortunate to be a part of this great female with Blind Badger Ranch of Colorado. This heifer exemplifies what purebred Maines need to look like in our eyes. This female is flat built, smooth and has rib cage to die for while having an impeccable set of running gear. We feel this is the kind to take a serious run at the Jr Nationals next year.

WINEGARDNER / / / HARVEST OF EXCELLENCE SALE

This mating has been so fantastic for us over the last several years. This female is a full sib to Savannah Garrett’s female and The Rogers family steer that was 5th overall at the Indiana state fair. This dark red heifer is so complete in her design and structure and knowing how good her mother is not only should she be a solid contender in the plus division all year but make an even better mature cow.

We are very fortunate to be able to have this female in this year’s offering. Thanks to the Tim Heindel family for trusting in our program and using our bulls. This female is no exception to how good these Dual Threats are. She is so bold sprung, stout and square with a great set of feet and legs. Oh and did I mention she is TH and PHA free by pedigree.

13 13 / / / DPH Julie DT 417D Sire: Dual Threat / Dam: Predator Son x Heat Wave x Angus DOB: 4-17-2016 / Reg. High % Chi + MaineTainer

15A 15B / / / BMW Maggie 514D Sire: Unstoppable / Dam: ASHW Maggie (Full Sib to Who Da Man)

DOB: 5-14-2016 Reg. Chi: 10.5% + MaineTainer

Here is a wonderful younger female that is going to be a lot of fun no matter how you want to show her. This one’s natural build and rib cage is impeccable while still having a great look from the side. We know how good this pair of unstoppable females are but are just built from a different mold.

So when I was in the sand hills sorting cattle this great female came walking by and I didn’t recognize her tag color. So I asked my old buddy Rockn J who owned her and as a proud grandpa would say that’s JT Adamson’s. Well JT thanks for putting this one on the bus, because this low simmy is truly big time. Her true skeletal design is something I could rave on all day, while she possesses a look from that side that could knock you down.

16

17 / / / GEIG J LO Sire: Broker / Dam: J Lo (Ali) DOB: 4-7-2016 Reg. Half Blood Simmental + MaineTainer
