We thank our valued customers for making this Event a huge success over the last eight years. Whether you are a repeat buyer or a first time attendee we welcome you and truly appreciate your interest in our programs. THE QUALITY RUNS DEEP…Please visit WWW. Open Ready to Flush • Guaranteed to Produce

SELLING ONE HALF INTEREST - POSSESION AND/OR THE OPTION TO DOUBLE UP AND OWN HER ALL IS NEGOTIABLE AFTER THE SALE This is one of the most unique cows that I have ever owned…And is the softest and chubbiest Troubadour in existence. This silver female is the right size, the right kind and the right color… She will make Breeding Cattle or Show Steers with equal ease, for haired or slick shearing country. 3121 Is a beautifully balanced female that is stellar in her lines and striking from the profile. This is a wide based, thick ended, square hipped female that is absolutely massive bodied. The upper rib shape, rump design and build of her top is unmatched. The structural design and mobility of this great female are what puts her in a class by herself. She is perfect from the ground up and the freest wheeling cow I have ever seen…She actually walks and trots with a spring in her step. She has been flushed four times and produced an average of 21 Transferable Embryos per flush. She sells open and ready to flush and is guaranteed to produce. She will have a cidar in her sale day so that we can get a start heat and get to making eggs. 4

SELLING ONE HALF INTEREST - POSSESION AND/OR THE OPTION TO DOUBLE UP AND OWN HER ALL IS NEGOTIABLE AFTER THE SALE I absolutely LOVE this baldy Simmental Cow. She is a model brood cow in a lot of ways…excellent uddered, heavy milking, easy fleshing, breeds back on the first service every time and consistently weans the best calves on the place. As you can see she is incredibly deep bodied, bold sprung, capacious creature that stays in the condition she is in the picture ALL THE TIME. She is great balanced, pretty fronted cow with a beautiful Baldy Head…And every calf she has ever had out of a Baldy bull is marked just like momma. She has several daughters by Wide Open at the ranch that you don’t have to read there tag to identify, they look just like her. I am anxious to see the litter of Loaded Up calves we have coming this Spring. After we flushed her that way I thought why not try On the Mark. Brad Smith and Grizz have got a lot of good things to say about him. She has been flushed twice and averaged 9 Transferable Embryos. I think this young cow can make a significant long term contribution to the Simmental Breed. She will be registered ½ Simmental. VIEW THE VIDEO PREVIEW OF EACH LOT AT WWW.CCI.LIVE/WESTERNELITE2018

Donor Dams & Foundation Young Cows

ALL IS NEGOTIABLE AFTER THE SALE

THIS IS THE POWER COW OF THE SALE…SHE NEVER MISSES!!! She might not have taken the sexiest picture in the catalog but she is the STOUTEST TROUBADOUR I have ever seen and has produced as much as any cow we have sold, though she has only been flushed one time. She produced the Lead Off $25,000 Lot 43 in the 2017 Western Elite and is the dam of the Lot 108 Fu Man Chu Bred heifer in this sale. She also produced two Monopoly’s we sold out of the pasture the summer of 2016 for $25K. You do the math, that’s $50K on the only three progeny ever sold…I’d say we could all use a Donor like this. 1500’s Mother is the NO MISS Alias 7522 Donor at DCC that has raised multiple high dollar Bulls and Females. In fact two of her sons sold in past Western Elite Sales…Masterpiece for $22,500 ½ Interest and Night Train for $15,000 ½ Interest. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A SURE THING.

$25,000 Daughter Sold in 2017 WE

A Daughter Sells as Lot 106

We targeted one of our good young cows to be a highlight in this year’s Western Elite. We bring you SS Lady Camille 31A, a purebred Charolais cow that was started into our donor program. She a full sister the B3 Miss Maura, Connell/Henley Farm’s premier donor, who was the 2011 Reserve National Champion and sired by B3 Wyoming Cowboy. Camille is an outcross to most current Charolais genetics, including Firewater and Outsider, and these Wyoming Cowboy daughters hit homeruns when bred to Monopoly and popular clubby bulls. Camille has only calved to purebred Charolais at our house, and has been intentially left open to enter into our donor program. We have flushed her to Monopoly and she will be ready to be flushed to the bull of your choice after the sale. Regardless of future matings, her ability to generate profits are exciting both in the clubby and pure bred industries. Ask us in Denver, we will be glad to talk to you about this cow family.

The cow and the resulting calf can be registered MaineTainer. I really like this young cow…she hasn’t been flushed, but needs to be. Her 2017 Maternal Made Bull at the ranch is as stout as they come. In fact, he is even stouter than his 7/8 brother selling as Lot B. 3301 is a long necked, cool fronted, clean made female that is stouter and softer than she appears in the picture. She has got a big square hip, is good on her feet and legs and is stunning from the profile. This cow has nearly unlimited mating alternatives…She can go both ways with equal ease. These DG sired cattle are some kind of good. Several years ago at Griswold’s bull sale Colby Collins and I were comparing notes before the sale and we both had DG marked real high. Like a fool I stepped aside and Colby bought him. He has made some great females at Collins Cattle and I have AI’ed to him with excellent results. I absolutely love this baldy female…Here is a female with look and power to burn. She is long necked, clean made, up headed and a smooth made cow with exceptional balance and profile. 3123 is great structured, thick hipped, square made and is just flat out good looking. Look for good things out of the Fu Man Chu on board here.

Donor Dams & Foundation Young Cows

Now here comes a monumental footnote challenge…Four half-sisters on two facing pages, three of them bred to the same bull and they all look alike. Try not to repeat yourself. We sold half Interest in Hundred Proof in a past Western Elite sale for $10,000. These females came out of his first and only calf crop. He was a great breeding bull as you can see, however when we semen checked the following spring he was sterile. What a damn shame, it’s always the good ones you lose. This Star headed female is absolutely massive… Huge bodied, deep sided, thick ended, big boned and good at the ground. The Hundred Proof daughters redefine easy fleshing and they stay in this kind of rig all the time.

Hundred Proof Sire of Lots 7-10

Hundred Proof’s mother was a Purebred Angus Cow Sired by Midland that was bred at Express Ranch. She was a great cow that I suspect provided the genetic power, potency and consistency that makes these four females peas in a pod. Actually, there were nine of these Hundred Proof females born that year and they all look just like this. We all know the contribution that the Legendary Irish Whiskey has had on this business but I think most would have to agree that these are not your typical Whiskey daughters. Their paternal grandmother changed the game. I think the Fu Man Chu’s out of three of these cows should be incredible. The only way to be sure you got the best one is to buy them all.

This one didn’t stick AI but I am betting on big things out of the Hoss calves. He is a Troubadour x Walks Alone x Hoo Doo that I own with Kris Black. He is without a doubt the most intriguing and unique bulls that I have ever been associated with. Kris has several Fall babies on the ground and is flat excited about them. I just have one and he is damn good. As you can see by the picture Hoss is one STOUT, MUSCULAR, CLEAN MADE, BIG RIBBED, WELL BALANCED BEAST. What you can’t see from the picture is the perfect joints, unmatched flexibility, loose spine and the coolest moving animal I have ever witnessed. I mean he can pick ‘em up and put ‘em down like nothing I have ever seen.

Not only are these Hundred Proof Daughters high quality and look a likes…Their calves look just like them. The Lot 94 bred heifer in this offerings mother is identical to Lots 7-10. These cows have some size to them and will weigh something. They are easy fleshing, heavy milking cows that stay in good rig, bred back quickly and bring in a high quality fat calf every time. This baldy female like her sisters is a long spined, deep sided, huge bodied female that is correct on her feet and legs. Regardless of sex I’m betting on some highly saleable Fu Man Chu’s out of three of these. Soft, stout, cool looking females that can be registered Chi or sappy, good feeding, sound made, good looking Steers that sell well and compete. Made it.

She is jack necked, thick made and has as much bone as you will ever need. She is a long bodied, smooth made female with a great profile and lots of balance. The General baby that she is carrying sure ought to ring the bell. I loved that bull when I saw him at Horn’s last fall…And he’s Double Clean to boot.

Another direct Irish Whiskey daughter out of a great Meyer 734 Donor. Anyone that has been to DCC will remember her mother as the blind baldy Meyer Donor that lived in the pen next to the barn for years. 1002 has been a solid producer and is a full sister to multiple high sellers. The Fu Man Chu on board here is sure to guarantee a quick return.

The Trendsetter daughters are as solid and predictable of Mainetainer females as money can buy. I guess its Old School now but rewind the clock and think of the impact that Draft Pick has had on this business. Then throw Maternal Made in the mix and you have instant success.

This is level built, smooth made, ultra-feminine, good looking Silver Baldy that goes back to a great Meyer cow. Her sire is a big time good Troubadour Son that John Graves bought as featured Lot at Kris Blacks Cream of the Crop Bull Sale. Kris and John have sold a lot of high dollar bulls and females out of Talk Back (COC 13)…And most of them were out of DCC females. I bet the lucky new owner will be all smiles when this BDR hits the ground.

A triple Half Simmental. Some cattle are just not made for the picture pen and this is one of them. She is the first natural calf out the featured lot 2 Donor. I bet you have never seen a chunkier, low to the ground ½ Simmy cow.

This is an extremely smooth made Silver Baldy female that has been a solid producer. I continue to brag on the Troubadour daughters because it seems like they consistently out produce their individual phenotype. The In God We Trust progeny are a hot commodity for good reason…They are flat good. Hook tight here, likely the best chance in the Sale to double your money or more on the first calf.

SELLING ONE HALF INTEREST - POSSESION AND/OR THE OPTION TO DOUBLE UP AND OWN HER ALL IS NEGOTIABLE AFTER THE SALE HERE IS ANOTHER WESTERN ELITE SUCCESS STORY. A year ago last Fall I was driving home from the Nebraska State Fair and Ward Eckloff called and invited me to stop and look at his Sale Calves and so I did. He got to telling me that two of the better heifers were out of cows that he had bought from me, as it turns out this heifers mother came out of the Western Elite, I had to have her!!!! Folks, this Mainetainer female is some kind of unique…She has as much true red meat and rib shape in a good looking one as I’ve seen in a long time, maybe ever. She is a thick, square hipped, massive topped individual that is huge bodied, and I mean bold, not just belly. She balances great, is pretty fronted and is correct on her feet and legs. And did I mention that she is about as good haired as you will find. I firmly believe that we desperately need to put some dimension and substance back in these show cattle, especially the steers…THIS ONE WILL DO IT!!! 18

SELLING ONE HALF INTEREST - POSSESION AND/OR THE OPTION TO DOUBLE UP AND OWN HER ALL IS NEGOTIABLE AFTER THE SALE IF YOU HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A CLUB CALF DONOR WITH THE WOW FACTOR…YOU LANDED IN THE RIGHT PLACE! This female has already got a lot of friends and the Sale is over a month away. She had a bad experience when they clipped her and wasn’t as full as normal the day we took the pictures. So if you love her now, take a deep breath before you go in the pen with her in Denver…She is going to blow your mind. This heifer’s neck comes out of the top of her shoulder, and it is long and pretty. She has no throat or chest, is flat shouldered, level topped and as smooth as glass. She has great top shape, is big hipped and unusually thick about her stifle and twist. The American Idols are often thought of more as slick shearing cattle, but trust me this one has some major shag. The balance, bone and structural quality are the most amazing thing about this heifer to me. She is absolutely monster boned and one of the most flexible moving cattle I have ever witnessed…In fact she has actually got spring in her stride. She is due to calve latter than most of the offering, get your baby and lets go to gathering embryos to put in for fall borns.

Again we offer a bonus to the Western Elite with these Purebred Charolais females. We are really high on this heifer. We strive to produce cattle like her that are complete in every way that still have the genetic makeup to reproduce at a high level. The more you analyze her, you acknowledge her fault free structure, smooth joints, foot size, and the complete package. She is as much of an outcross to today’s Charolais as there are (sired by our Canadian bull, Patent). I know the way these type of females work when they are mated to today’s clubby sires, she can put you in the steer hunt immediately while the Composite Heifers will high in demand.

A DEEP SIDED POWERHOUSE!! I love good cow families and this one comes from a great one. She goes back to the Lucy Donor that was a Meyer 734 I purchased when I was in high school. Lucy produced well over $300,000 for us. Her Legacy continues on through her daughters and granddaughters. They are sure to always bring in a good one at weaning time. 690 is a little younger born in July, but I thought she was way to good not to bring her to town, so we bred her to calve in July to our Promotional bull Fireball Whiskey. Dream On was his answer and if you look at pedigrees on many cattle that you appreciate, they have a shot of Dream On in them. We have been raising some direct Dream On cattle and we can see the power in the blood. This bred heifer represents this project well. She will get it done for any cowman.

Bred 7/19/17 W/C Bullseye 3046A (ASA# 2790164) • Safe AI Our Cash Money bull has been consistent in producing High Quality baldy females. We sold a Cash Money through this sale last year that was one of my favorites. Cash money is out of the Cashmere cow I purchased through this sale from Duello and she raised the 2017 Indiana Grand Champion Steer. I expect 630 to do big things herself, with the cow families on each side of her pedigree. She carries herself well with that added length of spine, a great maternal look, and a majestic bald face. Bred 5/18/17 My Kind (Collins Machinest x Meyer) • Safe AI I can’t say enough good things about these Fever Pitch daughters. I bought Fever Pitch in a past Western Elite Sale from Collins Cattle Co. when the Sale was over Colby Said “damn I hate to part with that bull”. When the dust all settled I sold them Fall Possession back. He is a great breeding bull. The females are the right size, have a great look and are perfect uddered cows that bring in the good ones.

SELLING TWO THIRDS INTEREST AND FULL POSSESSION – REGISTERED MAINETAINER

IT’S HERD BULL TIME. We haven’t sold any bulls in the Western Elite for a couple of years but these three deserve the trip to Denver. All three bulls are PROMOTIONAL AI CALIBER PROSPECTS. Lot A has created lots of stir in the last 30 days…And for good reason… He is an incredible bovine. This Baldy Mainetainer has an unmatched amount of bone and body, he is as level and square hipped as you will find and he has a hind leg to die for. He is extra good on his feet and legs and a great moving bull that has as much high quality, jet black hair as you can hang on one. I have absolutely adored this bull since he was a day old and I plan to use the bull at Duello Cattle Co.

Promotional Sires

Duello • 701E • Black Baldy • March 2017 • MaineTainer

There has probably been more cows bred to Maternal Made in the last year than any Maine bull in a long time. Our third crop of them will be born next spring, I like them more every day and I am anxious to calve the first daughters in March. 703E has a PURE MATERNAL PEDIGREE and I will bet you that he has more real muscle, bone and performance than any bull on display in Denver. This calf has the thickest, squarest most perfect hip I think I have ever seen. He is massive down his top, explosive in his stifle and thick clear to his hock. His rib shape, depth of body, base width and bone are without compare. You will find him to be a structurally very correct bull that has good feet and flex to his joints. HE IS A COW CHANGER!!!
