Shred Stixx Wakesurf Company was founded by sport pioneer Jerry Price in 1999 out of Discovery Bay, CA. Jerry was born into a life of surfing at time when Venice Beach, CA (Dogtown) was the center of a cultural movement. In the summer of 1963 Jerry paddled out for the first time and became a daily surfer at an early age. Torn between ocean surfing and lake living, Jerry developed the first board designed specifically for behind the boat surfing in 1972 and Shred Stixx was born. Since this time Jerry has developed dozens of surf style wakesurf boards and remains the most influential board developer in the sport.
