re-imagining offices Enabling integrated audio-video conferencing at The Central Bank of India
The bank management wanted to upgrade their meeting facilities to enable more natural and convenient interactions between their key managers across the country.
The Challenge Established in 1911, Central Bank of India was the first Indian commercial bank which was wholly owned and managed by Indians. The founder of the Bank. Sir Pherozesha Mehta, proclaimed Central Bank of India as the 'property of the nation and the country's asset'. The business of finance is extremely dynamic and frequently requires quick decisions on the part of the management. Therefore, the Central Bank of India was looking for a way to conduct meetings with remote participants with high visual and audio clarity. They also needed a high-tech auditorium for special events and presentations. Since some of the rooms were large, we needed to ensure good audibility no matter where in the room a participant was seated. They also wanted to communicate and share presentations and documents between participants at different locations with a system that did not intimidate users because of complexity.

The Solution After a careful analysis of their requirement, Actis provided the necessary AV solutions for their Boardroom, Video Conferencing Room and Auditorium. The Boardroom has a rear-projection screen and synchronised dimmable lighting. A speech reinforcement system interfaces with the Video Conferencing systems to facilitate multi-point audio and Video Conferencing. An interactive Whiteboard sends any hand-written matter on the board, directly to a computer for future reference, to be emailed to colleagues or printed on paper. Motorised drapes control the daylight using a user-friendly, mobile, colour touch panel. Boardroom with rear projection
The Auditorium is equipped with a high-end projection system, an audio system and advanced lighting control. An IP camera captures meeting, events and even audience interactions which can be broadcast outside. This ensures that no one misses an event, even when there is a full house. The Video Conferencing room is equipped with an interactive Whiteboard, Projector and a touch panel for complete control. It also features lighting control which serves a variety of meeting scenarios. Video Conferencing room
