EXPERIMENTATION Lizard has rough and uneven skin full of wrinkles and scales, as well as a variety of colors, so I think knitted woolen yarn and smooth cotton space would be the best choice. It can perfectly reflect the texture of lizard skin, and I try to find the integrating point through combination of them.

I like the shape and color, so I decided to completely retain and applied them to the garment. I do not like making too much change to original beauty of the nature.

The strange discoloration principle of chameleon is to synchronize the pigment in its own cells with the environment, so as to integrate themselves into the environment. We can deem it as a kind of visual illusion, like stealth. Therefore, I tried to use the garment to reflect this feeling. I tried drawing a painting of visual illusion to seek for such wrong feeling.

Therefore, the World Health Organization set the first Tuesday in each May as World Asthma Day so as to remind the public to be aware of the disease and improve the prevention and treatment of asthma.

EXPERIMENTATION As is known to all, asthma is a respiratory disease. I am suffering from allergic asthma, which means if there is an allergen in the vicinity, my respiratory will immediately react, the inner wall of trachea will start swelling and has already been stiff, and airflow will no longer be so unobstructed. Therefore, I’ve been in a hypoxic state during the onset period, and it feels like breathing when wearing 10 layers of mask.

EXPERIMENTATION As inheritor of the entire respiratory system of human body, it is responsible for air intake and exhaust. But in my mind, it is the most terrible demon. One was free to breathe one second ago, but all tracheas immediately seem to be cut off when the disease attacks. These tracheas disperse and escape respectively, all facing different directions and unable to concentrate to provide me with oxygen.

With the accelerated pace of life, communication between people becomes less and less, leading to interpersonal negligence, lack of communication when problems are encountered, and eventually evolving into the spirit violence. The verbal violence is one of them. Attacking others verbally, and the use of abuse, sarcasm, ridicule, slander and other discriminatory language have resulted in mental psychological damage to others.
INSPIRATION I take the time to research a variety of information about verbal violence, and I think the verbal violence is the way to hurt others with some language and words in the final analysis. This feels like a curse, and the form of verbal violence that has existed in the early human development is curse. Now the tribes still have this mysterious ritual. Tribal priests believe their ritual and prayer will make god punish their enemies. I began to study these ceremonies. There was not so advanced technology at that time and people still believed in the assertion of magic. They made totem by painting and sculpture, and they believed these totems were magic, and they were god or devil incarnate, who can virtually attack the enemy.

EXPERIMENTATION I would like to create the whole garment with totem feeling. It is well arranged with the front end of the topmost shawl seeming like sharp teeth, the garment body composed of strange printing and pierced leather, and the two pieces of leather on pants like two coquettish lips. There is a section of printing in the lower part, with which I want to show these vicious curses are overflowing from the mouth.

EXPERIMENTATION For the appearance, I used slim fit business suit to express the look of these victims of violence in the normal state, which is the same with that of ordinary people. The ancient totem pattern was printed on the surface, like a demon sealed in the body. The wide fur collar hides the boiling conscience well. I think we should express in the inlayer the soul etched by devil, so I created this feeling of broken heart with laser cutting. The neckline was also created with feeling of being stacked with layers, show these victims are also conscious of suppressing themselves.

EXPERIMENTATION I used the most simple gown silhouette, which cover the body like a shield. The large shawl is just like a layer of carapace, which will still be attacked by the outside words into a disastrous state. They live in their own world, just like two big pockets.

EXPERIMENTATION The most scary feature of verbal violence is that it can not only result in damage to the victim’s heart, but more importantly it will leave an indelible shadow in the mind of victim. I wanted to reflect the feeling of shadow in garment, so I tried folds and hollow. The hood was enlarged and the lining had natural folds by adding drawstring so as to realize the effect of shadow. In addition, a hollow feeling was created in the abdomen. One side of the shawl was enlarged to make shoulder more layered, so that the whole coat looks like a distressed face.

INSPIRATION Thus, my garment follows their dazzling gloss, and the mix of silk and metal, I think, is the best interpretation of Egyptian palace. In my eyes, their garment did not use too much cumbersome technology and cutting, instead the ancient Egyptians bring into place the body’s natural curves to the extreme. The ancient Egyptian garments should be bare and sexy, and all the looks are embellished. Even garment is to be like jewelry, which does not need to be huge but should be delicate. Embroidery is the best expression of exquisiteness.
