Issue ‘Heavy things can be expressed in a light way’- Italo Carvino Built by the railway in 1960s, the barn was the relay point where grain was stored and transferred. It had stood idle for a long time due to the decreasing demand.
Program Planning to become a base for education and promotion of food farmers Can show the farmers market in a noisy and quiet comparative exhibition space being in an enclosed silos and open base.

/Spatial analysis A closed structure requires ventilation and lighting if it is to be transformed into a space for human use.

Design strategy While the new functions of the design are generated, the old value has never been forgotten. Passing down the precious tradition, the reawakened barn breaks the limit of similar shapes of silos and creates a whole new image.
Divide the building into three sections

/Vertical silo exhibition While the elevator moves vertically in the silo, you can see the vertical exhibition. Exhibition display in a vertical way to echo the verticality of the original silo

It is not advisable to fill the entire silo when setting up the floor. Left gaps for the air to pass through, and not blocking the light flowing down from above. 12.

The silo is not suitable for continuous opening, which will affect the structural support.
/Market / Plaza The open market can ensure the circulation of air and create a lively atmosphere. The chiseled cone funnel can be seen from outside and have an interaction between in and outdoor.
The split layer is to prevent the bottom-up airflow from being blocked.
/Exhibition entrance lobby There is a void between the silo and the floor of level 8th. Visitors can look down from the 8th floor and interact with the 7th floor.

The Cameron Highlands is a district in Pahang, Malaysia. Situated at the northwestern tip of Pahang. All subdistricts are nestled at elevations ranging from 800 metres (2,600 ft) to 1,603 metres (5,259 ft) above sea level. Apart from its tea estates, the plateau is noted for its cool weather.
