Bangladesh is a riverine and flood-prone country, occupying low-lying floodplains and tidal plains. It has one of the largest and most populous deltas globally, The Bengal Delta. Almost 140 million people live in this delta, facing a flood every monsoon. So far, my journey ended in West Texas, which has a cool semi-arid climate. The transformation f rom a very humid place to a very little rain or a dry environment with little to no humidity, thus shaping my thoughts of diversity and addressing climatic issues sensitively.
More than 19 million people in Dhaka city are coping with many individuals, social and political issues regularly. Once called the ‘Venice of the East’ has shifted be one of the least livable cities in the world. Though so many difficulties persist, most inhabitants are pretty happy and cannot think of escaping this place. Such paradox assures me that, within this asymmetry, there must be a harmony somewhere for which the city has so many positive things to appreciate. Lubbock, the hub city, is in the northwestern part of the state, a region known historically and geographically as the Llano Estacado, and ecologically is part of the southern end of the High Plains. “These diverse phenomena have driven me to believe in Architecture, specifically in Landscape as a tool to extract thousands of solutions for a specific problem and train me with facts to choose the most feasible answer.”
