While with Utah, Young compiled a 28-22 record and a playoff berth while leading the team to a franchise record nine game winning streak (Feb, 11 – March 5). The Flash lost to the Energy in a three-game set in the first round of the 2010-2011 playoffs, but compiled its first ever road playoff win at Wells Fargo Arena on April 11. Until being named head coach Young had served as the Flash’s second assistant coach for two seasons (2008-2010) and was the Director of Basketball Operations during the team’s inaugural season (2007-2008).
