Sparkling Ideas FARE products have been awarded many internationally recognised prizes for their trendsetting design and functionality. Continual innovations at FARE are constantly raising the bar and continue to delight with intelligent and creative ideas.

Designpreis Deutschland – The Designpreis Deutschland (Germany design prize) is the highest consecration for design and is awarded by the Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology. Primarily honoured are developments which have already proven their marketability and which have future potential. The FARE®-Exzenter mini umbrella (item 5199) has been nominated for 2014.

red dot design award – The red dot is a globally recognised and highly respected quality seal. Since 1955, the red dot award has developed into one of the most important international competitions for product design and architecture. The entire range is judged in nineteen categories based on strict criteria, which are constantly adapted based on new discoveries. Four FARE products have been selected by the top expert jury, and the FARE®-Exzenter mini umbrella (item 5199) received an honourable mention in 2013 for particularly successful solutions.

Best of Bestsellers – Around 400 companies from the industry, trade and the service sectors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland meet annually at the WerbeWiesn in Munich, the specialised trade fair for advertising media and fair design, in order to present their newest advertising materials. The awards ceremony is separated into the categories of promotional items, medium range and VIP gifts. Here, FARE has been able to win many prizes for its creative solutions and the exceptional quality of its products. The Colormagic automatic regular umbrella (item 1142C) won in 2012.

PromoFritz Award – Promoswiss, the industry association for the Swiss advertising material industry, awards the PromoFritz award once a year. In this competition, outstanding promotional items and concepts which are used in commercial, cultural or public service areas in Switzerland are awarded prizes. A jury of experts from the fields of marketing, advertising, specialised media and promotional items assess the products based on the criteria of originality, uniqueness, implementation of the advertising message, communicative sustainability, functionality and use value. FARE umbrellas also take top positions here - in 2013, they received the bronze PromoFritz award for the asymmetric FARE®-Exzenter mini umbrella (item 5199).

Watertight Arguments The highest quality and on-going optimisation - that’s what the FARE brand stands for. This not only provides a large variety of models but also watertight arguments for trusting cooperation.

Certified – In regular intervalls the TÜV Rheinland Products GmbH checks the majority of FARE umbrellas for the following quality features: Wind resistance Break-strength tested User friendliness Waterproof Flexibility of the rib construction The certified FARE umbrellas are identified with the relevant stamp in the catalogue and fulfil the requirements of TÜV Rheinland standard 2 PfG 1048/11.06. The production is subject to at least one audit per year by TÜV Rheinland LGA Products GmbH. Safe – As an independent laboratory, LABTECH Prüfungsgesellschaft mbH in Quakenbrück checks FARE’s compliance with the EU’s REACH regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals). FARE therefore ensures that all legal regulations on harmful substances have been observed and that only safe products reach the market.

Human – FARE is a member of the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) and is subject to this code of conduct. It is based on the UNO’s Declaration of Human Rights, the conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the UNO regarding the rights of children as well as the elimination of discrimination against women, the UN Global Compact and the OECD guidelines for multinational companies. Responsible behaviour and, most of all, better working conditions should be achieved as a result.

White underlay In the majority of cases, colored prints require a white underlay to ensure an optimal result. This white underlay counts as an additional printing color and will incur extra charges accordingly. White prints on a colored background must be printed twice. Double printing is subject to extra charges for an additional print color (these are incurred once only). No white underlay is required for prints on white umbrella covers or for print colors silver, gold and black.

Colormagic® imprint Colormagic® overprint tones down screen-printed colors. Color matching with Pantone or HKS colors cannot be ensured and does not constitute any ground for complaint. We recommend the production of a proof sample.

The initial costs of screen-printed advertising can be kept as low as possible by sending 1:1 films ready for screen-printing (= top-coated positive films). If films are not available, we will need vectorized graphic files in .eps format. Please create files in spot colors and convert fonts into curves. Other data formats (for example .jpg files) saved as EPS files cannot be used! Film charges and the creation of reproducible templates will be invoiced according to the time and effort required.
