Barry Kerch Shinedown
I worked with Barry for about five years over a series of tours in the early 2000s providing custom drum heads and unique graphics for his touring kits.
Shannon Leto
30 Seconds to Mars
Shannon is always a pleasure to work with. I have designed and produced many sets of drum wraps and drum heads for him over the years. His ideas are always fresh and interesting. Which makes my job fun and never dull.

Butch Vig
Garbage
Butch has been a client of mine for many years. I have supported him over a great many tours, and am always glad to hear from him as his ideas for the message he wishes to convey through his drum sets are always intriguing and fun. For example, the kit to the right with the bones... the bones were all provided by Butch’s cat, collected, arranged, and professionally photographed at his home.
Charlie Benante
Anthrax
The “For All Kings Tour Kit” I did for Charlie was designed by me to match Anthrax’s tour graphics. The wraps were designed and produced by me and then sent to Tama where they installed the wraps onto the shells in their custom shop. Usually, I like to install the wraps myself, but Tama did a great job working with my product. As you can see.
Shawn Drover Megadeth
Shawn is a very cool and authentic guy. As a matter of fact, he was my very first client after I left RockenWraps. Shawn called me up on my personal line and asked me to create some heads for him. When I told him I no longer worked for RW, he said, “Well, I never talked to anyone else but you, so I will be your first customer.” And he was... for five tours with Megadeth!
Mike Wengren Disturbed
Talk about cool guys. Mike has got to be one of the most genuine and down to earth folks I have ever worked with. We have worked together on a number of his kits with custom designed wraps and drum heads. I have also done a number of side projects for him like Fight or Flight heads and case stencils. Over the years, Mike has become more than a client. I consider him a friend.
Wild Mick Brown Ted Nugent
I produced and wrapped this Sonor kit for Wild Mick and shipped it to Ted Nugent’s ranch in Texas for the Love Grenade Tour while at RW. I include it here because the entire project was a riot and full of personal stories of conversations I had with Wild Mick throughout the entire affair. He lives up to his name... he IS wild!
Adrian Young No Doubt
I first met Adrian at the NAMM Show back in 2008. I found him to be interesting, enagaging, and easy to talk to. When he called me to ask if I could create a flashy Union Jack kit for him for a charity show in London, I jumped at the chance. From what I was told, the drum set was sold for that charity for an exhorbitant amount. Which makes me very happy.
DD Verni
Overkill
I have worked with Overkill for many years starting with a full dress drum kit I had done for Ron Lipnicky back in 2010 to Jason Bittner. Since the start I have done a number of custom drum heads, wraps, and custom projects like Case Stencils, Bass guitar skinz, and side projects. In most cases I work directly with DD Verni. Who, in my views, is an amazingly talented and professional guy who is very easy to work with.
Russ Whitman Craig Morgan
Russ came to me to create a kit for the Craig Morgan tour. He liked one of my stock designs based on a rusted sheet metal that he wanted “cranked up” and made more vibrant to fit the stage design for that particular tour. I incorporated the logo of the band into the artwork easily enough and the end result made both him and I happy.
Sean Kinney
Alice In Chains
Sean is a carry-over client from my RW days where I had re-wrapped a DW kit of his in a silver mosaic wrap. This kit is now hanging on the wall of The Hard Rock Cafe in Downtown Seattle. Since that kit I have worked on a number of custom drum heads. I always enjoy working with Sean for the AIC tours. He always has great ideas with an eclectic flair.
Tim Yeung Morbid Angel
Tim is a bad-ass! Not only behind the drums but with building hot rods and gassers too. I worked with Tim from his time in Morbid Angel to Death Division. The first kit I did for him is pictured heret and is called the “Giger Skull Kit.” Later, I did a full chrome kit and a series of custom drum heads for his projects. Tim is a great guy, and one I still call a pal.
Tommy Lee
Motley Crue
Created for the Motley Crue Final Tour, I was commissioned to make this 40” Bass Drum head that was mounted up above Tommy’s kit. The kanji characters were written out by Tomoyoshi Ohtaand layed out/ produced by me for the tour. Upon seeing the head, Tommy said to me, “Brien, that’s f-cking MONEY!” -- that’s high praise to me, and I’ll take it!
Avril Lavigne
Created for Avril’s Love Sux Tour in 2022, this set of wraps was made based on a custom shade of Orange to match the rest of the stage aesthetic. This was a lightning fast project that was done last minute and shipped directly to the first show in LA. From what I have heard, Avril was delighted with the results and the kit was perfect for the series of shows throughout the US tour.

Scott Rockenfield Queensryche
I created these kits back when I was working with Scott at RockenWraps. While there, I was able to design and wrap a few kits for him. He took these kits on tour during his last few years with QR around the USA and Europe. These were fun to create and wrap. As far as I know, Scott loved the way both these sets turned out.
The chains on the kit on the page were welded by a friend of Scott’s in Arizona and painted silver by Scott in our warehouse. The Mosaic Blue Metallic warp was digitally printed to show the Queensryche Tri-Ryche symbol. The heads were digitally printed on top of an oil=reflective automobile vinyl.
The blue flake wraps on the next page were overlayed with chrome vinyl with a red and black digital print to reveal tribal flames and skulls with a red sun and the Tri-Ryche. Both kits also feature “Rim Strips” and Bass drum “Hoop Strips” which were created by me and are now featured on the Sic•Skinz website as an add-on feature with all of the stock wraps sold there as well as custom wraps we design.
I worked directly with Scott for a couple of years and had his blessing when he let me go to start Sic•Skinz. Upon leaving, I promised to never poach any of his clients, and never did. That a few may have followed me upon my departure was their choice and not provoked by myself. Contrary to stories told or hinted at. As far as I know, Scott and I are still friendly with each other even though we do not have an active relationship.
Snoop Dogg Himself
Carlos, the drummer for noop Dogg asked me to re-create the blue fade “Crip” bandana wraps for his tour with Snoop my second year in business. The first set I made for Snoop went on tour throughout Spain on his famous 27 shows in 20 countries stint. Those wraps were stolen off the tour truck and replaced by me 24 hours later. It’s a fun story that includes a hilarious phone call from Snoop.
April Samuels
Breast Cancer Can Stick It!
I have done a number of Warrior Drum snares for April at BCCSI over the past few years that have been auctioned off for charity. All have brought in a fairly good sum for that cause and I am very proud of that fact. I am also very proud to be an ongoing sponser of this project and look forward to designing more in future years.
Rick Brothers Colt Ford
Rick called me up one day and asked if I could create him a Jack Daniels themed kit for the Colt Ford tour. The set below is what I came up with. Rick is a really good dude, and it was a pleasure to do this for him and Colt. Unfortunately, I do not have a clearer picture of Rick and this set, so this image will have to do. I hope it is clear enough to show the artwork design.
Nick Menza Himself
I met Nick through a friend who owned the studio my band rehearsed at. Nick was scheduled to record a video of himself playing all his Megadeth favorites and wanted me to recreate the heads he used during his tenure with Megadeth for the video shoot. These are what I came up with for his shoot. May Nick rest in peace, he was a really good dude and I really enjoyed being able to help him out.
Steve Moore
The Mad Drummer
Steve is an outstanding guy, an outstanding drummer, and a flashy showman. He was another of my early clients and I have done a number of drums for him over the years. From this orange mad drummer flame to a black fade maple snare. He is always a delight to work with and a friendly voice over the phone with a dynamic sense of humor. Another client I call a friend.
Vinnie
Paul Pantera/Hell Yeah!
The first version of this kit was done for Vinnie while I was with RW working with Scott Rock. Later, Vinnie asked if I could do another set just like it as he had become endorsed by a new drum company. Vinnie was a riot and fun to work with. One on one, he was pretty low key and gentle-speaking. But, once he turned it on, watch out! May he rest gracefully and forever in peace.
Yayo the Drummer
Lil Wayne/One Man Band
I really enjoy working with expressive and colorful talent. Yayo is one of those types of drummers. And, he is a complete delight to create wraps for. I have worked on a couple kits for Yayo over the past few years and am proud to call him an endorser for Sic•Skinz Custom Drum Wraps.
Shirley Manson
Garbage
Shirley is probably one of my favorite vocalists from here genre that I like to watch on stage. When I heard that she had a special birthday coming up and was given the opportunity to create this custom mic stand for her, I jumped at the chance. This stand was used throughout the Strange Little Birds Tour, and from what I was told, was a huge hit with her.
Miscellaneous
Heads & Drums
Here are a number of custom kits or drums I have done over the years for local drummers and online customers. In my view, none of these drummers are any less than the ones shown on the prior pages of this booklet. All are great talents, and people I feel proud to have worked with.
Over the past 15 years, Sic •Skinz Custom Drum Wraps has had the distinct priviledge of serving some of the biggest names in the music industry by creating some of the most distinctive, high resolution drum wraps and heads..
From Rock to Metal, Country, Hip-Hop, and Top 40, we have strived to put out the best product we can to make the stars shine brighter and their drums look even more dramatic on the big stage, late night television, and videos.
This booklet represents some of the acts we have served. We hope you enjoy looking at these pieces of art as much as we have enjoyed creating them.
www.SicSkinz.com
Sic•Skinz are made from high resolution, high heat, pressure laminated digital prints that act as protective covers for your drums while giving your old kit an incredible new look.
Whether you are upgrading an older “ugly” kit or hoping to protect a newer, more expensive finish, Sic•Skinz will give you an easy to install, affordably-priced alternative to paint.
Sic•Skinz do not physically adhere to your shells, which means they can be removed in just a few minutes and easily replaced with another set of our wraps whenever you feel the need for a new look.
What’s even better... our wraps are “single sheet”, which means NO MORE PIECING TOGETHER wraps to cover larger shells.
Installation is easy and requires no glue. All you have to do is follow our 4 Step process:
Step 1: Remove all hardware (lugs, badges, air vents, etc.) and make sure the shell is smooth
Step 2: Place your wrap around the shell with the double-sided tape end overlapping the other end. Draw tight!
Step 3: Remove the backer from the double-stick tape and press down.
Step 4: Punch the drilled mounting holes through with either a scratching awl or a phillips screwdriver and put the hardware back on.
DONE!
If this procedure sounds too difficult for you or you don’t feel you have the time to do it yourself, we offer a service of wrapping your shells for you. All you have to be willing to do is is trust us with your gear, be willing to ship the shells to us, covering the expenses both ways, and keep in mind that we charge an additional $25 a shell to wrap your drums on top of the charge of the wraps themselves.
We do NOT, however, strip shells, remove laquer finishes, or repair shells with cracks, splits, gouges, or holes for you. Nor will we correct warped shells for you.
