A: Getting an offer to work for a corporation like Oracle is more than I ever expected. It is not just a job but an opportunity for learning and growth. A: One may face many rejections before getting placed .She/he must not lose hope and must stay focused, try and convert your weaknesses into strengths. Q: Were you rejected by any other company? If yes, what could be the possible reasons? A: Yes. I was rejected by Microsoft IT and Novell. Q: How many levels were there in the selections procedure of this company? A: There were 6 rounds. First round was a online technical aptitude test, followed by 3 technical rounds. This was followed by a Telephonic HR round. And at last a face-to-face HR (more like a casual conversation) with the hiring team. Q: What preparations did you make to get through the written rounds? A: To get through the written rounds one’s basics in his concerned subjects must be clear. Aptitude tests are generally followed by a coding round. For cracking this, one must do the assignments given in practical’s by him/her
self and at the same time also solve problems from competitive programming site like Hackerrank.com and Codechef.com . Q: What preparations did you make to get through the GD rounds? A: There were no GD rounds in this company Q: What preparations did you make to get through the Interview rounds? A: I was already strong in C and DS, so I studied the basics of Operating Systems and DBMS and prepared all the common interview questions. Q: Any tips or suggestions for the juniors? A: One must do the assignments given to him on his own and keep must be clear in the concepts of the theoretical subjects taught. Instead of mugging, one must focus on understanding the concept ,analyze and question them. Know yourself and the company you are applying for. Q: Can you briefly explain your overall experience of the placement season? A:I faced a lot of rejections before getting into Oracle Systems. I would advice my juniors to not lose hope under such circumstances and stay focused, and try and convert your weaknesses into strengths.
