Easy Do-It-Yourself Installation

Sideshift bow and stern thrusters are a great DIY project, or can be installed by any marine service department or boatyard. No previous experience or special tools are required. Our unique universal mounting system requires no holes below the waterline, eliminating the risk of leaks associated with all other types of thruster systems. In fact, while other brands of thrusters can take days to install and should only be done by a professional, Sideshift thrusters can normally be installed in a few hours, saving you thousands of dollars in installation costs.

All Sideshift thruster systems include our advanced 2.4Ghz wireless joystick controls that greatly simplify installation by eliminating wire-runs through the boat. When installing both bow and stern thrusters, or for boats with existing bow thrusters, you can add our dual wireless joystick option for easy single-handed operation of both thrusters, providing true 360-degree control in any situation. And for total wireless freedom, every Sideshift system includes our remote keyfob allowing easy operation from anywhere on the boat or dock.

The SS230 Bow Thruster is perfect for boats up to 30′ in length. The unit mounts on the exterior of a V-shaped bow which creates a forward pivot point that gives the boater optimum control. No expensive tunnel in the hull is required and all mounting holes are above the waterline. Providing an immediate response with our powerful water cooled 12V motor, the heavy-duty 8″ aluminum propeller quickly positions the boat in any weather condition. Saltwater proven, the rugged aluminum and stainless steel bow thruster is anode protected to prevent corrosion and finished with anti-fouling paint over epoxy primer.

SS340 Bow Thruster

The SS340 and SS350 Bow Thrusters are perfect for boats up to 50′ in length. The units mount on the exterior of a V-shaped bow which creates a pivot point advantage for optimum control. No expensive tunnel in the hull is required and all mounting holes are above the waterline. Providing an immediate response with our powerful water cooled 12V or 24V motor, the heavy-duty dual 8″ aluminum propellers provide effortless lateral control in any docking situation. Saltwater proven, the rugged aluminum and stainless steel bow thruster is anode protected to prevent corrosion and finished with anti-fouling paint over epoxy primer.

An easy-to-install stern thruster solution that attaches directly to any outboard or sterndrive powered boat from singles to multiple engine setups. The thruster mounts to the cavitation plate of any outboard motor or I/O for easy in-water installation, and completely eliminates the mounting issues common to most outboard or sterndrive powered boats. And for boats with existing factory bow thrusters, you can add our dual wireless joystick option for easy single-handed operation of both thrusters, providing true 360-degree control in any situation.

The ST340 and ST350 Series Stern Thrusters are ideal for inboardpowered boats up to 70’ in length, and for houseboats up to 80’ in length; the unit mounts either to a transom or to the underside of a swim platform and all mounting holes are above the waterline. The powerful water cooled 12V or 24V motor provides immediate response, and the heavy-duty dual 8” aluminum propellers provide effortless docking control in any docking situation. And for boats with existing factory bow thrusters, you can add our dual wireless joystick option for easy single-handed operation of both thrusters, providing true 360-degree control in any situation.

The WB230 Stern Thruster has been developed specifically for wak eboats with a horizontal wake-shaping plate for extremely easy mounting requiring no hol es below the waterline. The thruster can also be mounted to the boat’s transom on model s where there is sufficient space and side clearance. The powerful, water-cooled 12V motor and heavy-duty 8” aluminum propeller provide instant lateral thrust for stress-free dockin g and open-water maneuvering. The thruster is anode protected and available in three beautifu l polychromatic (metal flake) colours to complement the high-end look of any sports boat.
