Franck-Hertz-Experiment with neon gas or mercury vapour
Complete Franck-Hertz experiment with neon tube and direkt PC connection.
Compact Franck-Hertz experiment with neon gas or mercury vapour Quick and easy experiment set-up and safe experimenting with Franck-Hertz neon tube or Franck-Herzt mercury tube with Franck-Hertz oven and
Advantages The Franck-Hertz operating unit: – One unit for both tube types. The tubes are connected directly to the operating unit. No additional equipment is required for the experiment. – Integrated RS-232-interface for direct PC connection (no additional interface required). – Comfortable Measure software for data recording, representation and evaluation. – Additional methods for recording the Franck-Hertz curves possible, e.g. using a plotter, an oscilloscope or manually.
Franck-Hertz operating unit
– Integrated LED display for displaying all operating voltages and the Franck-Hertz anode current.
The new operating unit provides all the necessary voltages for the experiments and is suitable for both Franck-Hertz tubes.
– Special additional features when used in conjunction with the Franck-Hertz mercury tube, e.g. digital display of the desired and actual temperature of the Franck-Hertz oven, power outlet on the back panel for supplying the Franck-Hertz oven with power, connector for NiCr-Ni temperature sensor. The Franck-Hertz neon tube: – Tetrode in fall-safe housing with viewing window and collective connection to the operating unit. – Recording of the Franck-Hertz curve with up to 5 impact excitations, direct observation (up to 5 light zones) of the light emissions in the visible range (about 650 nm) of the accompanying de-excitation of the excited Ne atoms. – No tube heating required. The Franck-Hertz mercury tube with Franck-Hertz oven: – Classical experiment with up to 8-10 impact excitations. Observation through the viewing window of the oven. – Can be connected directly to the Franck-Hertz operating unit. – Oven can also be used for experiments concerning the sodium resonance absorption.
5 light zones (about 650 nm) generated during the deexcitation of the excited neon atoms.
