Inspired by the vibrancy of nature, Hybrid Medical Center supports the blend of nature and medicine to inhibit healing for their patients. Research shows that the connection to nature during the healing process increases the chances of a full recovery, as well as hastens the recovery process.

The bed is positioned on a canted wall to orient patient with the outdoors to further the connection to nature and daylight.
The patient is in complete control of his/her comfort by having access to bed, light, and air controls from the patient bed.
The patient area is accessible for disabled patients.
Technology is integrated into the patient bed to aid the nurses’ rounds.
The patient bed is equipped with technology which alerts the nurse when a high risk patient leaves his/ her bed without notice.

Built-ins include suitcase storage, mini-refrigerator, and microwave to allow for a more hospitality-like experience. The television and monitors serve as an entertainment source, control panel for light and air, as well as a full food menu served room service style. The guest includes a closet, lockable safe, and pillow and blanket storage for long stays.

Perilune Women’s Clinic focuses on the well-being of the ever yday woman and establishes an inviting, stress-free patient experience. The phases of a woman’s life as well as feminine qualities mimic the phases and symbolism of the moon. Receptivity, fertility, and nurturing traits reflected in the woman are similar to the reflection and glow of moonlight.

HOSPITaLITY
The inspiration for the design of the space derives from the crescent-shaped volcanic crater that is home to the most abundant, famous coral reef off the south coast of the islands of Hawaii. Strong curves and fluidity reminiscent of the volcanic crater and coral reef are found in the overall space plan and design.

Molokini’s Bar 38 is inspired by the 38 hard coral species found in Hawaii’s vast seas. Bar 38 provides a casual, inviting space for socializing, wining, and dining. The exciting elements of gold alongside the oceanic blues create a sense of natural comfort.

Espy fine dining is inspired by the most common mushroom coral, the most recognizable coral of its species. Like the coral, Espy is known for its lively environment. The low lighting, deep tones and lavish materials reflect the visual and physical texture of the mushroom coral.

guest rooms Lobe coral thrives in the deep oceans of Hawaii, providing homes to several communities and species. The guest rooms, inspired by lobe coral, have a subtle elegance, fit for a contemporary and luxurious stay. Lobe coral consists of thousands of colonies that are connected to one another, similar to the space plan of the guest room levels.

Black coral is recognized for flourishing in low light levels. The rooftop bar and grill reflects a similar sense of activity seen in the nightlife at Vive. Reminiscent of the coral’s natural fan-like pattern, the pool and hot tub create a layering effect allowing valuable views of the stage from anywhere.

Tessera is inspired by the term’s meaning- each individual piece of material in a mosaic. The compilation of the term, tessera represents the unity and uniqueness of Israeli’s mosaic-like culture. Individuals, traditions, languages and religions vary in Israel just like each piece of tile in a mosaic varies.

The custom wood slat partitions allow for transparency from vendor to vendor, while still giving each space its privacy. Vendor stalls are canted in order to remove visual hierarchy of one specific space. Equal opportunity for all vendors helps to assure full capacity and success of the retail incubator.

EXPERIENCE INNOVATE ACCOMPLISH When walking through NEXT University, there are several chances for breakoff discussions or impromptu meetings. The various spaces offer a palette of postures fit for lounging to catch up on the national news, quick pin-up discussions and more formal group meetings.
