Our subsidiary will once again be demonstrating its combination of tradition and innovation, lasting for one and a half centuries, at FENSTERBAU 2018. Was heute ein wichtiger Bestandteil der SIEGENIA GRUPPE ist, nahm seinen Anfang am 28. August 1868: Im Alter von 16 Jahren eröffnete Firmengründer Karl Fliether im Osten von Velbert eine Schlossschmiede. Mit Geschäftssinn und Ideenreichtum brachte er sein Unternehmen zügig voran, spezialisierte sich bereits um 1900 auf Türschlösser und meldete in Folge erste Patente an. Über vier Generationen hinweg machte sich KFV als Familienbetrieb einen guten Namen und blieb mit Innovationen für Schlösser und Schließtechnik auf Wachstumskurs: Im Jahr 2000 – drei Jahre nach der Einführung des Schließsystems Fliethomatic – beschäftigte das Unternehmen an fünf Standorten in Velbert mehrere hundert Mitarbeiter. 2002 folgte mit der Markteinführung des elektromechatronischen Ver- und Entriegelungssystems GENIUS ein weiterer Meilenstein.

A strong partner for the SIEGENIA GROUP KFV has been part of the SIEGENIA GROUP since 2006. With the takeover of the German market leader for multi-point locks, the corporate group has complemented its portfolio and consequently strengthened the position of KFV by means of a one-site strategy, extensive investment in the production facilities, as well as the reorganisation of production. With diverse innovations, e.g. the A-opener or KFVkeyless, the company made its presence known in the following years. KFV is one of the leading manufacturers of locks in Europe today and covers the entire field of modern door locking systems with its product range. KFV is relying on a willingness to innovate for the future: The company launched the new modular system KFV ONE, which combines room comfort qualities with tangible benefits for fabricators, to coincide with the 150-year anniversary.

An integral part of the SIEGENIA GROUP today, it started on 28th August 1868: At the age of 16, the company founder, Karl Fliether opened a locksmiths in the east of Velbert. With business aptitude and a wealth of ideas, he rapidly brought his business onwards. As early as around 1900 he specialised in door locks and as a result registered his first patent. Over four generations KFV made itself a good name as a family business and stayed on the growth path with innovations for locks and locking technology: In 2000, three years after the launching of the Fliethomatic locking system, the company was employing a workforce of several hundred at five sites in Velbert. Another milestone was achieved in 2002 with the launch of the GENIUS electromechanical locking and release system to the market.

Das Produktportfolio für KFV Mehrfachverriegelungen wird stetig weiterentwickelt. Das Ergebnis der jüngsten Optimierungen ist das innovative Modulsystem KFV ONE, das Verarbeitern eine neue Dimension an Effizienz und Flexibilität bietet. So werden Türenfertigung und -montage deutlich effizienter als bislang: Das neue Modulsystem KFV ONE erlaubt Verarbeitern künftig die Konfiguration eines vielfältigen Variantenspektrums, das sich durch die größtmögliche Reduzierung der erforderlichen Bauteile, eine ausgesprochen schlanke Lagerhaltung und ein einfaches Bestellwesen auszeichnet. Was einfach klingt, ist von der Konstruktion her bis ins Detail durchdacht, denn das Produktdesign von KFV ONE schafft die Voraussetzungen für ein Maximum an Flexibilität und die radikale Vereinheitlichung von Montageprozessen, auch bei der Nachrüstung. Das fängt bereits bei der Austauschbarkeit von schlüssel- und drückerbetätigten Hauptschlosskästen an und reicht bis zur standardisierten Fallenanbindung. Sie ermöglicht das einfache Drehen der eingeclipsten Falle oder den Austausch gegen einen anderen Fallenkopf. „Eine für alle“ lautet hier die Devise, was ebenso für die Befestigungsmittel für Hauptschloss- und Nebenschlosskästen gilt: Sie sind bei KFV ONE durchweg identisch. Von der konsequenten Vereinheitlichung des Modulsystems für Mehrfachverriegelungen profitieren Verarbeiter in mehrfacher Hinsicht. Aufbau und Handling der Bauteile sind denkbar unkompliziert und schaffen so die Voraussetzungen für eine fehlerfreie Fertigung. Dabei sorgt das standardisierte Produktdesign für unveränder te Montageprozesse über alle Varianten hinweg. Einfache Prozesse entstehen zudem durch die einheitlichen Fräsungen und Anschraubpositionen in sämtlichen Varianten sowie durch die optimier te, für alle Anwendungsfälle identische Treibstangeneinhängung. Stark verbessert wurde nicht zuletzt die Montage von Schweizer Rundzylindern, die jetzt ohne Absenken der Mehrfachverriegelung erfolgen kann.

What sounds simple is well thought out from the design to the last detail because the product design from KFV ONE creates the prerequisites for maximum flexibility and the radical standardisation of assembly processes for retrofitting. This begins with the ability to interchange between key-operated and lever-operated main lock cases and extends to standardised latch connection. It permits the simple turning of the clipped on latch or the replacement by another latch bolt. "One size fits all" is the motto here, which also applies for the fixing material for the main lock and auxiliary lock case: They are identical in KFV ONE. Fabricators benef it in a number of ways from the consistent standardisation of the modular system for multi-point locks. The structure and handling of the components are extremely uncomplicated and thus create the prerequisites for flawless production. The standardised product design ensures an unchanged assembly process for all variants. Simple processes also arise as a result of the uniform milling and screwing positions in all variants as well as the optimised drive rod suspension that is identical for all cases. Another considerable enhancement is the installation of Swiss round cylinders, which can now be accomplished without recessing the multi-point lock.

Designvorteile bietet beispielsweise die Reduzierung der Schlosskastenstärke auf 15 mm. Sie schafft die Voraussetzungen für die passgenaue Abdeckung der Beschlagaufnahmenut selbst mit einer 16-mm-Stulp. Für eine hochwertige Optik ist so stets gesorgt. Das Thema Sicherheit schreibt KFV dabei gewohnt groß. Hierzu wurde die Kontur des Schwenk-
hakens mit Blick auf eine erhöhte Einbruchhemmung überarbeitet. Bei der Entwicklung des innovativen Modulsystems stand darüber hinaus Bedienkomfort im Fokus. Davon zeugen u. a. die konstruktionsbedingt dauerhafte Leichtgängigkeit der Treibstangen sowie die dicht anliegenden Schloss- und Nebenschlosskästen an der Stulp. Sie verhindern das Eindringen von Frässpänen bei der Montage und schützen so insbesondere das Hauptschloss. Das erhöht die Funktionssicherheit und gewährleistet das einfache Ver- und Entriegeln der Tür. Zudem sorgt die Soft-
lockfalle für flüsterleises Schließen und das leichte Öffnen der Tür von außen. Die Summe seiner Vorteile verbindet das leistungsstarke System mit dem Aspekt der Energieeffizienz: Der verbesserte Getriebeaufbau ermöglicht das leichte Heranziehen der Tür in die Dichtung. Dadurch wird ein hoher Anpressdruck erzeugt, der kalte Zugluft draußen hält. KFV ONE ist ab dem Herbst für schlüsselbetätigte Mehrfachverriegelungen erhältlich; die Einführung von drückerbetätigten Lösungen ist ebenfalls in Vorbereitung.

They prevent the ingress of milling chips during the assembly, therefore protecting the main lock in particular. This increases the functional safety and ensures simple locking and release of the
door. Furthermore, the soft lock latch ensures whisper-quiet closing and easy opening of the door from the outside. The powerful system combines the sum of its benefits with the topic of energy efficiency: The improved gear structure enables the door to be easily drawn into the seal. This generates a high contact pressure that keeps cold draughts outside. KFV ONE will be available for key-operated multi-point locks from autumn onwards; the launching of lever-operated solutions is likewise in preparation.

Auf Innovationskurs: Das einzigartige Modulsystem KFV ONE setzt Maßstäbe. Das neue System für Mehrfachverriegelungen ist ein Ass in der Türenfertigung und konsequent auf Raumkomfort ausgelegt. Produktmanager Alexander Böhle im Gespräch: Welche Strategie verfolgt KFV ONE? Zu den bewährten Vorzügen des bisherigen Systems zählt insbesondere seine Modularität. We have continued to pursue these thoughts with KFV ONE and radically redefined them. This allows fabricators to massively simplify their processes. Additional options are the focus of this range extension: KFV now offers a solution for single and double-sash metal doors up to a height of 3 metres, completely without the use of special frame parts. This is made possible by the introduction of new size variants and extension pieces that utilise the tried and tested benefits of the panic range. Like the solutions for sash heights of up to 2.40 metres, the variant for elements of heights of 3 metres can be used with left/right orientation and allows sashes opening both inwards and outwards. Safe in the knowledge it's a good solution Among the issues of room comfort, the new solution for emergency exit locks in accordance with EN 179 and panic locks in accordance with EN 1125 is also convincing. The streamlined designed cap replaces the previous sash cover caps made of PVC with high-quality metal covers. The screwing is also invisible. The integration of the sash stopper in the guiding rail is also of excellent quality. Its flat design provides a discreet, virtually concealed appearance. Mit der SIEGENIA Comfort App und der elektromechanischen Mehrfachverriegelung GENIUS ist auch das möglich. Während die Tür im Nachtbetrieb vollständig verriegelt wird, ist es für den Einsatz in hochfrequentierten Bereichen möglich, die Verriegelung tagsüber per App zu deaktivieren. Die Kombination dieser beiden Lösungen wurde erfolgreich nach RC2 geprüft und erlaubt in der gesicherten Spaltlüftung das Lüften auch bei Abwesenheit. In order to implement high-quality room comfort concepts, it also enables networking with sensors and opens the window independently in case of bad air in combination with the SENSOAIR smart air quality sensor.
DRIVE axxent MH, the convenient solution from SIEGENIA for the secured night vent TITAN vent secure, is an ace with regard to security. The combination of these two solutions has been successfully tested in accordance with RC2 and enables ventilation via the secured night vent even if you are not at home. The efficient duo is being presented as a study in late spring.

The spectacular building at the tip of the Amsterdam Pier attracts a lot of attention with its chair-like form. 90 metres high, its two towers are joined together by a steel bridge structure. Shops in the attractive pavilion are currently being built on the ground floor, in the upper storeys there are about 250 exclusive apartment and 66 luxury penthouses. The Rollecate Group, international facade engineer and one of the largest Dutch manufacturers of high-end aluminium solutions is responsible for the building shell. Rollecate has been a partner of SIEGENIA for two years now - also in this prestigious object: For the approximately 700 windows and patio doors, the company is relying on profile systems from Kawneer with parallel slide & tilt hardware from SIEGENIA as well as the LM 5200 turn-and-tilt hardware. Die Möglichkeit zum durchgängigen Luftaustausch verbindet diese Lösung für Dreh-Kipp-Fenster aus Holz, Holz-Aluminium und Kunststoff mit weiteren Raumkomfort-Qualitäten. Ihre größte Stärke ist die frei skalierbare Einbruchhemmung bis RC3 in der Verschluss- sowie bis RC2 in der Lüftungsstellung. Möglich macht dies eine 10-mm-Kippspaltöffnung, die in hohem Maße schlagregenbeständig ist und den Luftwechsel witterungsunabhängig macht. Die gewohnte Optik des Fensters bleibt dabei unverändert, der Öffnungs- und Schließvorgang ebenfalls.

Fertigungs- und nachrüstfreundlich In Fertigung und Nachrüstung kann der TITAN vent secure überzeugen. Durch den Verzicht auf Sonderbauteile zur Realisierung der Kippspaltöffnung im Flügelbeschlag und bei den Bandseiten erlaubt er eine rationelle Verarbeitung. Auch die Nachrüstung der Dreh-Kipp-Beschläge von SIEGENIA ist denkbar einfach. Besonders zeitsparend ist die Umrüstung, wenn das Fensterelement bereits mit einem TITAN-Beschlag und Komfor tpilzbolzen ausgestattet ist: In diesem Fall müssen lediglich die Rahmenteile getauscht werden.
This solution for turn-and-tilt windows made of timber, timber-aluminium and PVC combines the possibility of continuous air exchange with further room comfort qualities. Its greatest strength is its freely scaleable burglar resistance up to RC3 in the locked position and RC2 in the ventilation position. The retrofit is particularly quick when the window element is already equipped with TITAN hardware and comfort mushroom cams: Only the frame parts need to be exchanged in this case.
