Preparation is key for the big day: For the most flawless treatments your clients need to prep. Do you offer Sienna X Waxing treatments? Now is the best time to start your clients hair removal journey for the big day. Waxing is a great way to exfoliate the skin whilst removing hairs to eliminate peach fuzz and improve tone and texture, resulting in a perfect tan.

Encourage tan fittings: Everyone wants to feel their best self, to look nothing less than perfect on their special day. Tan fittings are an opportunity for you and the client to trial the treatment, but also time to reassure them of the colour they will achieve before the big day.

It doesn’t stop at the client: When booking in treatments make sure you consider the client’s party as a whole. Bridal and Prom packages are a great way of bringing more people through the door, encouraging others to look golden on the day.

Marketing your business: Promote, promote, promote. Take advantage of our tailored marketing materials. Linking up with other local businesses is a great way of encouraging new clients, such as hairdressers. Always ask your client to leave a review – word of mouth is an invaluable tool. Up Sell: Offer your clients extras to increase their experience, for example gradual tanning products to help them maintain their perfect glow for longer. This is a great way to increase your revenue and keep your clients happy.

LEIGH'S TOP TIPS FOR

THE PEAK SEASON

1Look after your stock: With the weather getting hotter remember to store solution in a cool dark cupboard away from direct heat or sunlight. A mini fridge is great during the hotter months. If you are a mobile therapist travel with solution in a cool bag to keep the temperatures low.

2Organisation: Plan your day to which products you need. Stock take regularly to make sure you always have the correct products and amounts, to avoid delays.

3Promote: It is peak season for tans, which is great time to push promotions. Before and after pics of your work have always worked well for me on social media. Reviews and word of mouth are also invaluable, ask friends to write reviews!

4A quick cleaning tip: Use hot water in your gun and spray your cubicle then wipe down. Remember to clean your gun and filters once a week to ensure that the machine is in perfect condition.

5Help your clients plan their treatments all in one place: Do you offer more than one Sienna X treatment? I suggest learning to Wax! Waxing is a profitable treatment and lends itself perfectly with tanning and skincare treatments.
