Kosta Boda Collection
The ambition of Kosta Boda Collection is to capture the spirit of the times in the form of commercial lifestyle products. The range consists of well-designed and functional interior items. Complementary materials can be used, but always with the glass in focus. We find inspiration in the collective history of the glassworks and designers like Signe Persson-Melin and Erik Höglund, complemented by present-day influences. The collections encompass fashion, music and art, and aim to beautify and enhance modern everyday life – whether it concerns dining-table accessories, interior design or celebration.

Bod is a playful tribute to the possibilities of glass craftsmanship. Two individually familiar forms, fused into a single object with a new, wholly unique expression. These asymmetrical, stemmed bottles are also a nod to Kosta Boda’s long-standing production of wine glasses.
Bod’s inspiring design triggers creativity in terms of both content and placement. Its confident shape makes it a natural fit in your home irrespective of room and does an impressive job presenting flowers as well as other decorative elements from the woods, beach or nature including beverages and fluids such as oils and vinegars.
The series consists of decorative bottles in different colors and sizes. It’s created through a collaboration, a balancing act between the different working methods of two designers (who are also brothers). The result stands firm, right on the border between sculpture and utility object. Bod 230mm

Ulrica Hydman-Vallien Caramba
The inspiration for this Kosta Boda series from 1986 stems from a trip to Mexico. “¡Ay, caramba!” is a bold statement that indicates admiration, surprise or anger. It’s a word associated with strong emotions, a strength reflected in Ulrika Hydman Vallien’s hand-painted black details in the mouth-blown glass.

Anna Ehrner Contrast
Southern Sweden’s Kingdom of Crystal has a proud tradition of pushing the craft forward. An example is the technique called glass centrifugation, which was invented here in the 1950s. In the series Contrast, this technique comes into its own, where the coloring’s path through the glass - using color powder and sticks - creates billowing veils, giving each object a unique pattern. Contrast from Kosta Boda was launched in 2005 and consists of bowls, dishes and vases in several sizes and colors.

Crackle

Crackle defies all preconceptions and makes a glassblower’s nightmare – cracked glass – its raison d’être. Here it’s used to give the object beauty and character.
The mold is dug out of clay by hand and the cracked surface is formed using an ancient technique where the hot glass is dipped in ice cold water. The result is a series of objects whose expression changes depending on perspective and distance, reminiscent of sculptures made of colored ice.
Crackle by Kosta Boda was launched in 2020 and consists of vases and a bowl, all mouth-blown in Kosta. In 2023, the Crackle Circular series won the prestigious international ‘Best of the Best’ - Red Dot Design Award.

Who says we need such a sharp division between celebration and everyday life? This series is born from the idea that every new day is worth celebrating. Line is mouth-blown at Kosta Glassworks and radiates the same elegance today as when the collection first saw the light of day in 1982. Then and now, the final touch – the iconic, spun glass thread that gave the series its name – is applied by hand, in proud Swedish craft tradition.
Line consists of a carafe and several different glasses: wine, tumbler, martini, gin tonic, cognac, champagne, beer and aquavit.

Sara Persson Meadow
A wild, blossoming field. That’s both the inspiration for and expression of Meadow, a series of vases that look just as good on their own as holding a sheaf of roses. Or tulips, a mixed bouquet, a solitary flower, a well-chosen twig.
Meadow is made using a glass-crushing technique where the vases are rolled in colored, crushed glass while they are still red-hot. The shards blend into and become part of the glass itself, and no two vases are alike. The organic pattern combined with the straight lines creates a playful whole that highlights the craftsmanship, while the shape of the vase highlights the floral splendor it embraces.

Ulrica Hydman-Vallien Mine
Mine is a series of asserted products that are equally suitable for special occasions and enhancing everyday moments. The message is simple: let your home be a place to enjoy, every day.
The pieces are manufactured by glass centrifugation, a technique invented in Småland, Sweden, in the early 1950s. When color is added, swirling veils are created inside the glass, where each pattern becomes completely unique.
Mine from Kosta Boda, launched in 2002, is available in a black and a white version, and consists of bowls, plates, tumbler glasses and a vase.

Åsa Jungnelius Moss
The lines are familiar, but the whole is unlike anything else. Here, this soft paradox describes both the appearance and the manufacturing process. Moss is created from reused old molds from Kosta Glassworks, which have been carved by hand to bring out new shapes and create the irregular, textured surface.
The glass has unique color variations since it’s made with circular glass, where waste glass is used. Small bubbles may also appear in the recycled glass. Why not let yourself be inspired – and fill up with even more bubbles?

Ernst Billgren New Friends
In his creative output, renowned Swedish artist Ernst Billgren has a habit of moving between artistic expressions, not seldom executed with themes close to nature and a light-hearted touch. The New Friends series, launched in 2008, is an excellent example.
The animal motifs become one with the glass in a clever, playful and decorative way. One animal for each piece, masterfully made by the Kosta Glassworks’ craftsmen. Resting carefree at the bottom of the glass – happy to share this drink with you. After all, meeting someone over a drink is a great way to make new friends.

Please excuse us if we become a bit boastful about this modern classic: the series cannot only be seen in homes around the world, but has also done cameos in TV series such as Friends and Sex and the City.
Open Minds was launched in 1986 and consists of a dish and two vases.
Pagod

Kosta Boda’s Pagod is a series of elegant vases reminiscent of the 1960s. With a design intended to enhance and beautify cut flowers, the vases have a clear function.
The series is mouth-blown and made with an underlay technique two layers of glass, providing a well-crafted and stylish result. A layer of clear glass lies like a casing over an inner colored layer, letting its true color shine through. Pagod was launched in 2018.

Pavilion is a series of vases, made in collaboration with renowned Swedish design studio Front. The six pieces share a distinct expression – with its characteristic geometric interplay – yet are wildly different in shape. They range from wide-mouthed, ready to embrace sprawling bouquets, to slender ones, perfect for a single flower or decorative twig.
A combination of vertical and horizontal ridges, Pavilion’s signature pattern makes it instantly recognizable and, if we may say so, gives it the energy of a future classic.

When Picnic was launched in 1967, the underlying idea was to challenge the bourgeoisie’s fixation on excessively large stemware sets. Why have so many pieces, when you can drink straight from the bottle or from simple glasses? Thus a classic was born, with a timeless, mouth-blown simplicity and splendor that works just as well today.
Stout but hollow stems allow the glasses to be filled right down to the base, accentuating the drink’s color in a decorative way. Another lovely detail is the playful dynamic between glassware and carafe.

Nature, light and ice – it was out of love for these great entities that Polar was born almost 50 years ago. This timeless series consists of a number of glass sculptures reminiscent of rippling water frozen in time. Each sculpture also doubles as a votive, where the clear glass refracts and diffuses the light to set the mood.
Polar from Kosta Boda invites you to combine and group different sizes, although each makes a beautiful design object on its own. Or as a unique gift, e.g. from Sweden to the Sydney Opera House (true story).

Hanna Hansdotter Rocky Baroque
A rebellious take with ancient roots, the Rocky Baroque series from Kosta Boda is a playful remix of the classical column. Monumental contours meet raw, jagged surfaces in this series of candlesticks and vases. Pop colors mix with unyielding shapes, and the collection resides in the borderlands between sculpture and utility object, a recurring theme in Hanna Hansdotter’s design. Humor and irony are other tools used to interpret and challenge authoritarian principles. The result is its own genre – Rocky Baroque.
Hanna Hansdotter describes herself as being drawn to the crossroads between the harsh and the decorative. When that spirit is captured as perfectly as with Rocky Baroque, who are we to argue?

Viva from Kosta Boda unites old traditions and contemporary lifestyle. The soft design of the series is a romantic echo from the glassworks’ rich history. Simple lines that together form a strong entity, made for the modern dining table and to bring people together.
Viva consists of glasses in three different sizes and a carafe capped with a small glass that works to drink from (when it’s not upside down atop the carafe, that is). The collection launched in 2020.
