Relaxed coastal vibe

The architecturally designed Kamo showhome feels like a warm hug, a place you want to kick off your shoes and relax with family and friends.

Inspired by the rustic coast of Northland, the showhome cleverly demonstrates how effortless style can be achieved without breaking the bank. The relaxed coastal vibe is achieved using warm, earthy interiors, quality timber furniture, and an abundance of texture. Pops of rustic charm provide an instant homely feel.

The floorplan is designed for easy family living, the entry opens into a vast open-plan living and dining area with the office closely tucked away. This room offers flexibility for changing life stages and could easily become a playroom, a home wellness space or a media room.

The designer kitchen is the hub of the home and grounds the social spaces together. Three bedrooms, including a master with ensuite and walk in wardrobe, a family bathroom and powder room ensure space for everyone. A separate walk-through laundry connects to the double garage offering easy access and a place to hide away all of life’s necessities.

The new Kamo build is truly a retreat and antidote to a busy life.

The Kamo showhome is located on Rock Ridge Drive in Kamo and is open daily from 12pm to 4pm.

Exterior impact

Embracing a timeless blend of style and functionality, the exterior of the Kamo build is defined by contrasting textures and colour.

The dark brick in La Palmoa Azul , is a glam graphite with plenty of variation and character. This is contrasted by James Hardie Linea Oblique , a ship-lapped weatherboard in Wattyl Chalk Dust ½, a limestone white which makes a soft but definite mark.

This intentional use of vertical cladding and rustic brick provides interest at street level and enhances the enduring appeal of the home.

Textural wonderland

Sculptural forms and textured finishes create a simple yet striking style to the Kamo showhome. Pairing fluted sideboards, soft linens, woven cushions and woollen rugs makes a homely feel which is understated in its elegance.

Merging curved surfaces and linear patterns, the Kamo has cleverly created visual interest and tactility to every corner of the home.

The living and dining area shows how you can utilise texture to create cosy retreats within an open-plan airy space.

Style on a budget

The key to achieving a cohesive design style without emptying your pockets is to understand your vision and aesthetic then focus on small details that will have a big impact.

While this showhome is from our cost-effective Signature Plus range, it feels like you have walked into a home from the cover of a magazine and it’s no happy accident.

A rustic coastal vibe has been achieved by anchoring the home with quality light oak furniture and flooring, linen sheers, and soft furnishings in a neutral palette from Citta. The remainder of the look was curated by scouring clearance sales, end of lines, and picking up affordable on-trend textured items.

Rustic coastal charm

Painting the interior of a home in one colour, in this case Chalk Dust 1/8, creates a cohesive calm look and provides a blank canvas to build on.

The home has a rustic charm which was developed using organic colours and textures in the soft furnishings- think hand woven pieces, boucle, putty, sea grass, and lots of green. This enhances the oak furniture that features throughout the home.

Such a colour palette provides a visceral experience and grounds you into your surroundings.

Sense of space

The Kamo makes clever use of space, with open-plan social areas running down one side of the home. When you are looking for rest the bedrooms are tucked along the opposite side of the home for peace and quiet.

The office presents a spacious, flexible space that can change and adapt with the home owners life stages. With an entrance from both ends of the home, it makes for a perfect work from home spot, a kids lounge, or the ultimate home theatre room.

The arrangement of furniture, and colours used enhance the feeling of bright, open-spaces while at the same time feeling cosy and welcoming.

Master sanctuary

Bedrooms are an opportunity to create your own personal sanctuary, to bring in colours, linen, and trinkets that spark joy and aid deep rest.

The serene master retreat, complete with walk-in wardrobe and ensuite, anchors into the overall coastal aesthetic of the home.

Layered neutral linens, textured cushions and moody sheers create a focal point for the bedroom. The open bedside table with a woven loom shelf complements the white porcini lamps, and overall feel of the space.
